Looking good, please fix your shipping calculator so it can give USPS Priority International Mail pricing for non-US locations.

Hello twinrider,

send me by email your address, and I ask to the wharehouse exactly cost of shipping.

sales.acd.us@gmail.com

it's more easy, because the wharehouse has his own account UPS, with cheaper price.

best regards

Nico

UPS is reasonable only for the US, for international shipping it's hugely expensive so you'd need to use USPS. Will email you my address.

Any plans to make it fit with the Arrow headers? I know I could "trim" the skid plate, but with that beautiful finish I am hesitant. I'm also not sure I want the header hanging through the plate as I figured that was something I wanted "protected".

Why wouldn't it fit with the Arrow headers?

The header for the left cylinder protrudes a tad further forward than stock. Apparently just enough to need to chop the skid plate to accommodate.

Well, I'll be damned. Don't know how I missed seeing that. Been thinking about the ACD plate but I would have hated to get it and then go to mount my Arrow headers and find out there was an interference issue.

Thanks, AVC! ::008::

I've thought about buying one and modifying it, but I don't like the idea of cutting it and just having the pipe hanging through the plate. I consider a "goal" of the plate protecting my header pipes.

So that means I would have to cut it, and then box it off with aluminum much like the oil filter cap. Then I ruin the BEAUTIFUL finishes ACD puts on the plates. Plus, If I have to get into fab work, I almost feel like I might start from scratch.

Luckily, I am mostly a poseur roadie ::001::

Not a big deal cutting it to give room for the Arrow header as long as you have some good tools. It took me some time becouse I didn't want to make look like a beaver attacked it.

Your cut looks good, I just don't like the fact that the header is exposed at the leading edge of the plate.

For some reason, I am hung up on IF I get a skid plate, it should protect everything as best as it can.

I really LIKE the ACD plate. I bothered them until they imported them. There are 2 things I would change if I was starting with their plate as a baseline:
1. Adjust the front piece to allow fitment with the Arrows. The whole front could be made to match the oil filter bump out and would probably actually save a bunch of time welding.
2. Change up the front mounting so the main engine mount bolts don't have to come out each oil change. I'm just not 100% sold that is a good idea. It's probably no big deal, but I'd just prefer if it wasn't the case.

If they did #1 I order tomorrow with no reservations.

Remember that a very influential test mule had a 21" front wheel.
And no headers.

Where did his exhaust gasses go then? :-\

He also wound up with a version significantly different in the front to fit that 21" wheel. His version had a HUGE cutout in front of the cylinder head/headers. It also used a special filter and a different filter "box" in the skid plate.

I would venture to say a few more people have Arrow headers than 21" front wheels.

It's up to ACD. It is still a GORGEOUS piece of kit and should be a no-brainer to anyone considering an aluminum skid.
