Scott is right.

To design the plate, ACD use my bike with OEM headers. They adapt the plate to them triying to follow the engine and pipes shape to have a nice thight design.
We didn't know the Arrow headers are different to the OEM and we dind't know anybody in Spain who had Arrow to use it as a template.
I don't know if ACD thinks to change the plate to fit this headers. I saw the work they did and a small change in the design is a big change in the production, this is time and money and this market is very small.
But better ACD can reply your question. I'm going to mail them with this post.

Cheers ::003::
I'd be happy with just another "box" similar to the oil filter cover to allow clearance for the headers. I would do it myself but I don't want to destroy the beautiful black or titanium finish ACD applies.

I also asked ACD about the possibility of tweaking the design to make it possible to remove the filter without taking off the skidplate, like yours, and to add clearance for aftermarket headers but Cedric wasn't interested. Most likely for the reasons you've cited.

How easy/hard was it to install the plate in combo with the Altrider bars? So to change the oil will you need to unbolt the bars and plate? Can you take a closeup pic of front engine mount area?

No issues putting it on with the Altrider bars. I just put the spacers and skid plate on top of the Altrider mount. I will need to pull 4 bolts to change the oil but that shouldn't add too much time at all.

I wonder, would a pair of threaded studs work well up front. Thread on nuts and washers for the bars, maybe in such a way as to be the spacer, slide on the plate and washers and cap nuts for that. Don't have to worry about over working the threads in the head, and the crash bar will always stay aligned even when the bike takes a hard nap. Hmm, the studs would also act as an extra pair of hands when hanging the pan back on.

Got mine installed last night with the AltRider bars! No trouble at all. A few questions for people though:

• Any thoughts on getting longer bolts when installing with the crash bars? No need? Crash bar mounting tab is about 5mm thick, and I used the AltRider washers (about 2mm)...so total thread loss of ~7mm.
• I did my install on the side-stand...what's the word on the spacers being secure enough to remove the plate while the bike is up on the center stand? I'm too chicken to try.

Holy crap! This is a great deal.

I just ordered mine a few weeks ago. Can I return it and buy a new one? ::025::
