Just throwing this out there: when I ordered this plate a month ago I thought it was a bit expensive, despite seeing the awesome testing. I got it in my hands and changed my mind. Well worth full price IMO. All $299 does is make it a no brainer (the thought of buying a second one crossed my mind during the sale).

There is riding opportunity cost (or increased risk) in waiting for the next deal. I'm glad I had mine this past month.

Recieved info. that my skid plate was shipped Nov.4. Ordered on Oct.31. So being on its way to Canada, its gonna be a while yet.

Arrived today to replace the SW Motech plate. Should offer better protection with it not being mounted to the lower engine/case area. This and the Oxford adventure grips to install when the snow flies.

Looks good. I watched the installation video and saw that they had the bike suspended so that they could put the bolts/inserts in the centerstand mounts. I'm not sure how they did that. How are you going to suspend yours to do that part of the installation?
