Who will be changing there chain tensioner to the 14' during valve adjustment ?

Wow, just sifted through 20 pages of this thread....what an emotional roller coaster :) My CCT is getting noisy at start up and I'm going to change it. In the middle of this thread it was mentioned Yamaha may/is extending coverage on this. Has this been confirmed?? Mine is out of warranty...

BAJA DESIGNS **GROUP BUY** SQUADRON from RIDE ON ADV

Re: BAJA DESIGNS **GROUP BUY** SQUADRON from RIDE ON ADV Yeah, I think these lights require a certain amount of responsibility :D I haven't checked yet myself but I was wondering how high I could leave them on with the low beam and not piss off drivers. Even at lower power it sends a lot...

BAJA DESIGNS **GROUP BUY** SQUADRON from RIDE ON ADV

Re: BAJA DESIGNS **GROUP BUY** SQUADRON from RIDE ON ADV Thanks Tenerator, but I'm aware of that. In fact that's why I wired it that way as that's how I WANT it to function. The only time I used the remote was while on low beam. It's an inconsistent issue.

BAJA DESIGNS **GROUP BUY** SQUADRON from RIDE ON ADV

Installed mine yesterday and decided it was a good excuse to go hit some twisty roads last night. Straight up, these things are all they claim to be. Almost TO bright, I was finding the reflection from some road signs annoying :D Seriously. Before I left I looked at the pattern on my garage...

See Jaxon , I knew if I waited a minute someone would do the thinking for me so I wouldn't have to pull out the wiring diagram ;) Thanks guys. I swear, I'd rather rebuild a transmission than pull out my voltmeter sometimes.....

ECU reflash - results only in this thread

I think it's the tire. After reflash with the Metzler I usually had to hit some imperfection in the road to trigger the TCS light. Since putting on a K60 it's a lot easier to spin up the rear.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Not sure this time, Diablo is a bit lower. Hamilton has been getting dusted in a number of recent storms. A number of times when it drops enough to close the road they sometimes forget to put the closed signs coming from the Junction side and I've made it to the top AND had it all to myself...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Local for you To! :) Top of Hamilton Saturday morning. By mid morning San Antone Valley and Mines rd were dry and ready to be ripped on,except of course the usual piles of gravel in the corners. love it out there.

    Tires, Recommendations Anyone?

Did the same as you, at 2200 miles I was at the wear bars on my EXPs. Funny about the balancing as I was surprised how little mine took, 3/8s of an ounce on the front 1/4 oz on the rear. Mine came from the factory with no weights, so I think the rim is good from get go. Did yours have any...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Fast shipment from Jaxon and spooned these tires on during the week so I could break them in this weekend. I used the old fashioned tire changer, two tire spoons :D Let me see, 600 pound bike, brand new semi knobbies and a wet curvy road with ice , snow and gravel...perfect for break in! :D...

Very interested, still deciding between these and the Clearwaters . I have the same questions as all of the above, particularly how the switching works. Don't really care to be dependent on a remote. Is the dual mounting bracket under the headlight part of the kit?

ADVLife - What do you think?

Sites like the one we're on right now are a great place for bike specific information and I like it that way. As for it being a community I find it hard to get TO involved here or other similar sites (Stromtrooper, F800GS riders forum, KLR World etc) as at some point I'll probably sell the bike...

Fuel mileage Touring vs Sport mode

Understood :D How about just having her ride in Sport mode with you for a tank and see if your MPG is the same then? If there's any difference you'll know the side cases or riding style, or even just the bike itself is a factor. If both of you get the exact same MPG it would it would prove...

ECU reflash - results only in this thread

Did I miss your impressions of the upgrade in all these posts? I remember you saying you were doing this and I'd been thinking about the same thing...maybe. Just remember to preface it with "In MY OPINION" and nobody should get uptight about it :D

ECU reflash - results only in this thread

If you are referring to me.... Yes it has been established through those dyno charts that the US bikes are restricted. We already know that. Fact. My bike (and others) have been de restrictected and felt improvements, which backs ups those facts. what isn't proven is the level of restrictions...

ECU reflash - results only in this thread

I received my ECU back from ECUunleashed this evening and here's a few first impressions after a quick 60 mile test ride. I'm sure I'll have more to say after I take her out for a better run this weekend. Simply put my bike now has the response I would have expected from this bike from get go...

Power restriction in first 3 gears now lifted

Of course that's possible. OR maybe Diapson doesn't ask you for your fuel octane as they assume you will use the Yamaha recommended premium and they have built a map based on that, maybe including timing changes. Or maybe not. We really don't know .

Mine to. I've read of one other on this site, so that makes at least two.
