seems that every 3 months or so I was replacing a regular bulb , the brighter the shorter the lifespan.... at 30 plus dollars a bulb it was running about 60 to a 100 a year.... so , if cyclops honors the warranty , then all is well save for the hassle of doing the warranty exchange..... so to not have the bike running around with one 'eye" so to speak . am thinking of buying a replacement bulb to have as a spare ( these lights do not blow me away with their beam pattern , it is an improvement , but they are bright and that is a good thing around idiot car drivers )so according to cyclops they have a new and improved bulb that will replace this bulb.... so any new replacement bulb will be the new bulb so I might as well get 2 .... have to talk to them tomorrow before I decide on my course of action.... another thought is this , ive not had to replace a bulb since the new install last September, both bulbs still work , though one is down one diode . so not horrible.... and if your not having to buy their kit which includes the larger and deeper caps , the individual bulbs sell for 64.00 , that's about the same as 2 Sylvania bulbs or one and a half for their brighter bulb that will last about 3 months...so I'm thinking the cyclops may still be the greater value...so it all comes down to warranty.
