Just finished changing the oil, the final drive oil and mounted new tires.
This time I'm trying the Michelin PR3's

Yesterday had a Michelin Anakee2 VR 110/80 front tire installed. Afterwards took it on a river road ride. Felt good to have a new front tire. The next day or two I am headed to Etna CA (3-4 day trip) to pickup a part for my KLR.

You had them installed? Where's the fun in that? :D

Just finished getting the front K60 on. Took SIGNIFICANTLY less work and time than the rear. I need some knee pads, haha.

Just washed the Big Blue Pig after a long dusty ride yesterday with 2 other like minded individuals. Great time. Love this bike, even better than my GS1200. Love the feel of the foreward thrust from 60mph up to 100, especially on gravel. LED flashers or blinkers as Yamaha calls then have arrived today. Should instal tuesday. ::001::

Or don't refuse free.

On the plus side I do need to experience removing the front and rear wheels and tires.

Took the wife out for a ride on my awesome Super Tenere and stopped for lunch. Washed the bike in the sun when we got home. My KLR got a wash too.

Yes we do still have some snow but can't complain about 15c and with 18c forecast for tomorrow I think spring is finally here.

Hear hear Rocky. I took the recently returned Raven Super Ten and rode out about an hour west of Edmonton on secondary highways.

My father and I went over the bike with a fine toothed comb checking for any other loose fasteners and then attached them thar SW Motech racks and hung my Micatechs. That meant it was time to try out the new wind catchers. He took his Can-AM Spyder out for the first time this spring, and I finally got a longer ride on the highway.

Next on the list: Attaching the USB port to the battery and mounting it opposite of the 12v plug.

Another Alberta story, as we seem to have a trend going - rode 150 km NW of Edmonton today to go to a farm auction on a beautiful warm sunny day in Northern Alberta. My riding buddy (who will be my partner in the farm / acreage I am hankering to buy) has a Concours 1400. He waited for me on the highway, and then I snickered at him on the final 8 kms of gravel to the auction site). The trip ended with the odometer crossing 1600 km, so break in is finally over, three weeks (and two snow storms and a week on the road) after buying the bike.

I love this bike!

After I installed all my bits, I decided to take the twistiest route to the west coast! Tomorrow, I find the twistiest route to my local Yamaha dealership for her 600 mile 1st service!

Glad I didn't buy a GSA. Love the Super Tenere! ::022::

Put on the new Yamaha accessories horn today. It's nice and loud. Mounts where the stock one mounts and the wires plug right in. The better horn works well in Denver traffic!! ::015::

I purchased mine from the Yamaha dealer as well. They will have to look on their site under Super Tenere accessories. Plug and play, not like an air horn but definitely loud. ::024::

[/. There is a picture of it in the electrical accessories section on Yamaha's website. I really like it. I had a Stebel Air Horn on a previous bike and it didn't work so well at highway speeds. Air turbulence? Not sure. Anyway, the electrical one is plug and play, it's loud and it's cheaper than a Stebel.

Just got home after a short 600 mile weekend to Coarsgegold and areas around there. Trip through Yosemite. Beautiful as always!! Glacier Point and the S10 are two beautiful back drops!!

Friday coming up will see me complete my suspension upgrade with the install of my new Ohlin's. Also need to get my 8000 mile service done.

Rough plans for a possible epic journey in June are in the works! Stand by for more details.

Do the Yosemite Falls look like it will make it for a few more months? Ive been there in late summer and dry. Going there on a day trip from camping in Eastern Sierras in early June and was concerned about that. Other than that I gave bike a bath after the stuck in a creek adventure, heading to Bill Mayer saddles early AM for a ride in fitting. 140 one way, through urban land getting there, then Lancaster,Pearblossom highway, San Bernardino Mtns. going back to see how good this thing is! Oh and put about a 100 cc of oil int it.
