How fortuitous, I met and had a chat with the UPS Delivery guy outside school whilst picking LR for her hospital appointment (resulting in another operation in the morning, Not Happy!).
He had not seen the parcel and he had just finished delivering in Wardle.

So a crap day has just got a whole lot worse…………………..

“Roll on tomorrow!” :(

Sorry to hear of the hospital stay and best wishes for a speedy recovery..
I know it can be tough waiting on stuff to be delivered, but they could have lost it.. ::025::

Had myself a little tip over at a corner when the brake line blew off the reservoir.

I have just over 200km on the odometer, and was suspicious about the PDI the dealer had done when my mirrors weren't tightened down and folded in at the first bout of highway speed. Turns out to be founded, as the hex nut/bolt that attaches the brake line to the reservoir on the right handlebar came loose enough for the pressure of braking to push fluid out and drip down all over the engine and plastics. The bike stalled on the turn and of course, tipped over. So I'm part way into the intersection with a dead bike on the ground and a couple of kids come to help me get it out of the way. Scratched engine guard, scrape on the hand covers. My pride is most injured, because to most of the people watching (and there were a few) I looked like I just had a tip over for no reason.

So the brake fluid continues to leak and I walk back home to call the dealership and get them to come get their bike and service it. Late for work, and when I got off and went back to the dealership, I get the old service department look and the "Yeah yeah, we're working on it" attitude.

What do I need to do to make sure they replace the parts damaged because of this and that they have done a 'proper' PDI on the remaining items that may or may not need tightening?

In the set up book it doesn't cover checking the brake lines but I checked then anyway. Sorry for your tip over :(

I went and explored that idea last night. Unfortunately the hook on that bolt will not work with my panniers on. Might still fab one up for use when my side cases are not attached. Do you think it would work the same on the fuel tank mounting bracket bolt? The helmet would cover the key lock, but I could live with that if it works.

You need to go up stairs. Sounds like something Corporate might like to know about.
Were you saying the leaking brake fluid caused the bike to stall? Or did the tip over cause the banjo fitting to leak?

Went a an easy ride with Twisties and his wife.

Went to do a stream crossing and down goes teh bike and me!!!! About 20 inches of flowing water (no problem). The problem came with the concrete base that was heavily moss covered. Rear end just swung right around and that was all she wrote.

Nary a scratch on her so all was well. Plodded along and had a great day. Twisities, I'm sure, will post some pics!!

Just removed my rear Tourance and put on the new rear K60.

In my garage.

With three tire irons.

::010:

Learning experience. Took a long time, and me walking a way a few times.
