I’m heading over to Junction for the Texas Adventure Challenge on Friday and Saturday. Should be a blast!

Nice ride, congrats on the Iron Butt ::003::
Thanks. Long day, all Interstates, lots of trucks when you get in Texas. I was heading that way anyway. :)

Today I gimped out to the garage and installed a Kaoko cruise control and added a little personal touch.

Stock seat too. Wouldn't have thought about an Iron Butt prior to the Tenere. What a magnificent motorcycle it is. 8)

I realized I need to keep better track of the gas gauge

I was halfway home, and at least 25 miles from gas when I saw the indicator was blinking....FUUUUUUU......

I made it though, apparently that happens when you have about a gallon left in the tank cause I put in 4 1/2 gallons

You're not the first, and won't be the last. 6.1 gallon tank, and reserve levels vary by how the float arm got tweaked during install, or not. Looks like you have a pretty big reserve. Almost 2 gallons!

Understand that most of us can go 40-50 miles on reserve, and slowing down makes a big difference on the S10. You can see 60+ mpg at 50 mph or so! Usually I average around 43 though. Saw 16 one ride... >:D Closed course.

Rode three hours in the rain on the highway at speeds up to 83 MPH indicated on the new K60s I installed last weekend. Didn't notice anything at all. Nice tires.
