Continued my slow wiring project (slow since I'm still waiting on bits). Added a couple map lights similar to what ~TOBASCO~ did here (link). I used some accent modules from superbrightleds two red and two natural white. They come with sticky foam tape on them, they stuck right to the inside of the headlight bracket. Very subtle. Very bright. They're ready to hook up straight to 12V, no other bits needed.
This really looks like a nice little mod if you use a map window a lot as I do. I hadn't seen the prior thread. I think I'll give it a go.

Wow, that white stuff threw me. Hadn't heard of any over that way. Did Diablo get a blanket as well?
Not sure this time, Diablo is a bit lower. Hamilton has been getting dusted in a number of recent storms. A number of times when it drops enough to close the road they sometimes forget to put the closed signs coming from the Junction side and I've made it to the top AND had it all to myself :)

Here's a little of the back side you might recognize, with a little white stuff

Just back after family holiday...................

Stuck Wunderlich Bar Bag on and used the Turatech bar bag down the right side of the bike in the gap. Fits a treat with a little tugging of velcro strap through the gap.

Now just waiting for the arrival.................................................................. ::015:: ::015:: ::015::

Rode about 300 miles today. From Madison Alabama to the Ironhorse Motorcycle resort in NC. Gonna stay here a few days and ride the forest roads.
I called Iron Horse today to see if they had a private cabins for any days Thursday-Saturday. Was told they were all booked for a group coming in. Guess we'll be looking elsewhere. Have a good time. If you're still in the area on Thursday/Friday and see a blue and black Teneres running around that's probably us.

Just returned from a week on the road with work and picked her up from the dealer from her 1000 km oil change - more RPMs to play with now! Spent some time putting the Hepco Becker skid plate and the transfer case guard back on the bike, and then finally ground off the aggravating sidestand kick peg that kept catching on my boot. No snow in the forecast for the next week, so I am looking forward to lots of miles (work permitting).

Shimmed up the front of my seat with washers on the high setting. Up about 1/4 inch. Did find myself sliding foreward sometimes. Should make a difference! Just waiting for my LED Flashers to arrive now.

Don't know if you saw this old thread on reducing the height of the rear bumpers to get rid of the forward tilt...enjoy!

Interesting, I just took a few of the rubber pads i bought for mounting my Givi Trekker bags and added two to each side of the adjustable bracket in the low setting and it raised the front of the seat by 1/4 of an inch. I will be interested to see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the idea. ::008::

Today I rode the Tenere from Tampa, Florida to Columbus, Texas...1,047 miles, 17 hours and 35 minutes.
Stock seat too. Wouldn't have thought about an Iron Butt prior to the Tenere. What a magnificent motorcycle it is. 8)

Tracking Map.
