Over the weekend I installed the LED turn signals from Cycle Gear, the ELFR-1 relay so I don't need resistors, and lubed the shifter pivot because I'd been having trouble with downshifts. It was completely dry and crudded up. ::024::
Do those LEDs also act as running lights??
Ya got a part number??

Regards, Paul

Took an outstanding ride today again in the San Bernardino Mountains. Took 138 east off of Int.15 towards Lake Silverwood. Hit a few dirt roads along the way. On one water crossing I got mired up to the brake discs. Pain in the you know what pulling that beast out. Most of the trails in the mountains where I was at would take some serious skill on a big bike like the Tenere. More for a lighter enduro. I didn't go onto the hard areas. Not alone at least, too isolated. No Spot or anything on me. The tires left me wishing I had at least a set of Karoos or K60 on. Got home and gave the bike a bath. Lots of fun though! The creek in the photo was not where I became mired, that creek was only about 4" deep, just some sand. I was on my way to see the "Mormon Rocks" a huge exposed bunch of sand stone boulders not far off of the 15 freeway. Basically I was on top of the San Andreus Fault. The creek in photo was just a scene by 2N37, a road I will explore when I get someone along,

Installed the Givi side luggage rack on my wife's Tenere. I was surprised that I had to loosen both the rear foot pegs to get them to fit. Instructions didn't say that was necessary, but they weren't going on any other way. They are significantly less beefy than my SW Motech rack, so I do hope they hold up. Wife is pretty excited about her new Trekker 30L cases.

Just finished installing my SW Motech EVO pannier racks that I have had since last year when I put the bike up for the winter. They went on easy and look fine. Nice burly set of racks. I will be setting them up to carry Roto Pax fuel cans for those long hauls here in the Yukon where there is no gas available, like the North Canol Road and the Nahanni Range Road. ::001::

Will do when I get my RotoPax and figure out the set-up. Still debating whether to use 2 x 1.75gal on the racks with 1 x 1gal where the pillion seat is or to go with 2 x 3gal on the racks. Both of those rides will take two full tanks of fuel if you do any fooling around. ::26::

Rode hard, rode fast. Big Blue is broken in finally. Went blasting with a pal on his 08 GS12. Drag raced once and he beat me handily. But on top gear roll on from 50mph, Big Blue won. Big Blue also kept well ahead on the gravel roads often hitting 100mph on the straighter sections. I'm loving this bike. The traction control on 2 and ABS work better than on the GS. Lets just say, it was good clean fun, for me anyway! ::26::

Can you do a write-up for the challenged techies ? ???
Well as blind dumb luck would have it I got them working! I've had this trend happen before on older bikes, but with my skill level I did not like the idea of cutting into a new bike like this. BUT it actually was not too bad. I followed the instructions that Wasp used on advrider for the front lights. I think I will add a few notes on the Yamaha LED Turn Signals thread.

Grip Puppies yesterday , and tried them out for 100 miles today. Love having the grips thicker and as an added extra they kept my fingertips from falling asleep.

Adjusted the Headlite up. Tried using the supposed adjusting screws behind the headlite. 25 turns later not much change. Found a better way. Unbolted the 2 bottow screws on headlite frame and dropped in a couple of washers. Life is good.
