When are you going to announce pricing?~TABASCO~ said:
Here you go...
I guess this is how the bike would be parked if we had some futuristic, no gravity, space scooter... This is how the bike is sitting now because we are now an official Ohlins dealer, and already off to have the magic performed on them with new test parts. We are going to stick a set of these in there and start riding them...
Its still early, but will be posting reports on the new units. Ohlins is committed to the Tenere and we are proud to work with them. Hopefully by the first of the year we will be offering two separate custom tuned fork kits for the front end and the completely tunable rear Ohlins rear shock.
~ Rear shock
~ Cartridge kit
~ Valve / spring kit
If you have any question feel free to let me know. We are going to offer great pricing for the Tenere crowd ! Call me...........
There are a few things we don't know yet. The spring / valve kit is probably better off to Ohlins and we are looking for the cartridge kit to be available to the customer to install. It's pretty much a drop in unit. But again, there are a few un answered questions we don't know yet about the factory forks. Hope to have those answers very soon. Also get some pricing so we can start taking orders for the folks that want the setup. Going to be a total transformation !!Karson said:Gosh - glad there's another player in the S10 suspension arena. I'm glad I held off on the front forks, so now I can wait and see how this setup pans out...
Are you going to let folks install the fork valves/springs themselves, or require that a) they ship them to you, or b) you only will ship to a reputable suspension shop. I guess my biggest hangup at the moment for the penske front valves and springs is that I've got to disassemble the bike and leave it suspended on a floor jack for a week until I get them back from PA. All things aside, I'd rather invest in the required tools shown in the service manual. I'd only do that, however, if someone did it first and put together a detailed pictorial of the experience, start to finish. Even if it takes me 5-6 hours the first time to do it myself, at least I'll understand the process and learn something...
That said, i assume the cartridges will be more spendy, but an easier install (do most swap springs out with cartridges, too, maybe increasing install complexity?). the valves & springs, which take more work, are probably cheaper but require more disassembly.

I'm curious as anything to see what Jaxon can put together for price. Traxxion AK-20s are ~$1000-$1200 I believe. Historically, Ohlins has been more pricey, but Jaxon has been known to work miracles!Jerry said:I really like the cartridge set up. Perfect application for someone like me, enough skill to be dangerous ! Can't wait to get it, count me in. Hope the price is REALLY good since my wallet is pretty thin after adding all the goodies the aftermarket has to offer.
Thanks Jaxon.
You can bet they are going to be competitive with the other companies. I would assume they are going to be north of 1k. But I'm sure they will be top quality.avc8130 said:I'm curious as anything to see what Jaxon can put together for price. Traxxion AK-20s are ~$1000-$1200 I believe.
