Have you seen my Space Scoot ?

How are 6 sets taken with no pricing yet? :(

Man, just after Christmas too. This might be painful.

I respect the Ohlins name. But was hoping for a review. I respect a lot of guys opinions on here.

But after second thought, who is gonna say their Ohlins sucks? Almost 100% guarantee that your new Ohlins equipped S10 is gonna handle a lot better. :)

I have a good idea on the price.. That's the price Ive been telling people. Its about $1K.. + or - ... My forks are the first to be done and they are not done quite yet. Ohlins is waiting on a part from Sweden that will be used for the Tenere. Hope to have them finished up next week... The European holidays kinda got the timing all screwed up with this project. It will be WELL worth it.... PLEASE keep in mind that these sets are NOT going to be just "standard" sets.. They are custom tailored for each customer. They are going to very nice for each customer. Same with the rear shock we are moving for them, when a customer gets them from me we are setting up the whole shock for each customer. Its the only way its going to be correct for each rider..
Ill be posting a full review and pictures as soon as I get the forks back. They have run into several parts that are going to be made just for the Tenere and these all have to be looked at, developed, and machined. This has taken more time than expected. But going to be well worth it.
If there are any other questions feel free to let me know, be happy to help. :)

I'm one of those on the pre order list with a down payment paid and eagerly looking forward to the new cartridges.

Thanks for heading this up, Jaxon. ::015::

Have you seen my Space Scoot ?

My post Christmas Bank balance and normal value-conscious consumerism screams for me to sort my S10 suspension woes with the excellent Penske\Stoltec package. Thanks to the efforts of some S10 brothers, this package transforms the S10 into the best handling Big ADV bike on the planet.

But I screwed up and called Jaxon today to raise hell about me not knowing more about the time-frame and specifics of the Ohlin package.

I folded. Like a cheap suit. Not the first time I emptied my wallet to put Ohlins Bling on a bike after wearing the OEM kit out. (At 20,000 miles, my rear shock is tired of the constant overloading I have done to it. That subframe is stout! :) )

Yep, only 3 sets left now.

Thanks Jaxon. I think.

Hey guys... its been a bit of time so I wanted to bring people back up to speed. All the fork parts have now been machined. The first set will be built this next Monday and looked over.. Then torn back down and sent out for coating. If everything goes good they should be packed in a box and shipped back to me very soon.... All the other kits will then be ready to ship out or installed... We are close guys..
Ohlins has said this was a bigger undertaking that they thought. They also said my forks have crossed the country several times. They probably now have more shipping miles that my actual bike has... LOL
There are a few sets left. If anyone is interested feel free to contact me at the office. Ill be happy to answer your questions. These here are NOT Tenere forks but this is what they should look like when I get them back... The full whammy Ohlins work over massage.... ::26::

I feel ya... IM READY !! I have another bike to ride to work.. I ride everyday. But im for sure ready to have the Tenere back... Ohlins thoughts where this was going to go much faster.. There where internal mechanical things that to be specifically custom made for the Tenere.. On top of that they had to get a few parts from Sweden and we had the Holidays in the middle of all that... So, it is what it is :) I KNOW its going to be a great set up and these guys are awesome ! Thank goodness its this time of year and not spring, summer, fall.... I then would be really depressed... ::025::

Im really looking forward to the new set up. This is the first bike I have ever spent this kind of money on the suspension. Going to be awesome ! ::008::

Jaxon,

Are they coating the fork sliders?

Will "black" be the std? No Ohlins Gold?

ac

For the guys that are getting the coating, they will probably only get the lowers (DLC).. Of course its there choice to have the uppers done as well.. These uppers are going to be hard anodized. With out going into every little nuance of the anodizing process, you can get many colors with anodizing.. But hard anodizing are really just a few. Black is the hardest, slickest, Etc... ( so what I have read and understand )... Ohlins does all the gold anodizing in Sweden from what I understand, and im not sending my forks to Sweden. ::007:: Im not sure if that's a hard coating. This upper hard coating is to protect and get better wear and protection from the upper guides. Im doing this for performance. Before sending my forks off I was considering some carbon motocross covers to protect the upper legs. Those are black, so I had already wrapped my head around the look of black uppers.. The DLC cant be applied to the aluminum uppers. The gold lowers has a better contrast to the black uppers but wears faster and really more useful in road racing. Even on the road track it wears pretty good. The black (DLC) holds up much better long term and against dust & mud. Im sure the forks will have a few branding stickers on them as well from the factory. Hope to have them in a box and on there way to me maybe late next week.... ::012::
