UPDATE: to previous defective Givi bar post.

What a difference a day makes!

Took more than a couple of months of waiting. But until I "raised my voice" a bit........
Anyways, happy to report that I recieved a credit for the return today.

Wish I knew if this forum played a roll. Could just be a coincidence.

Congrats!! Having to wait that long for a refund you were due, just shows the true colors of Adventure Moto.
I will never purchase from them again.. There are just too many other, good internet dealers with better service and prices.
Cheersv

No doubt you were wrong'd and did not get your refund timely. Adventure Moto Stuff are good people and surely know they made a mistake. Looks like they corrected the error in less than 24 hours after seeing it on this forum. That is very fast service no matter the reason. There are not that many Tenere accessory resellers and we don't need to make it one less. If any of you have concerns with any reseller make sure you take the time to ask questions prior to the purchase.

I don not have any ties to Adventure Moto Stuff or anyone that works there.

Tim,
Do you always ask who will handle the warranty or refund before you buy from a vendor. I know I don't.. I expect good service when I make a purchase and not have to 3rd degree the company on what their policy is on everything they sell.

As for being one less seller, I could care less if they cannot offer good service. This is just my opinion and I realize that others may disagree. That is fine.
Cheers

I'm good with your take on this.
I never got hot about it. (too old to fret too much over $. ::) )
And for the record, they were never rude or evasive. They just had some strange idea that THEY should get their refund from Givi before I got mine from them. I think they must have thought that through and had a change of heart.

Anyways, we are squared up. So no harm.

Jim sorry if you thought I was responding just to you. It was meant to be for the masses.

I ordered my GIVI's at the same time you did and they were back ordered big time. I spoke to AMS at an IMS show then went to the GIVI importers. Sure enough the back orders were true. They worked there tails off to fulfill the backorders and delivered mine even though I asked them to hold the order since I was supposed to be out of town. Nope I don't hold it against them and hopefully they learned their lesson and will listen to the customer.

Again sorry you thought I was pointing you out.

WOW.... I wouldn't have thought that would have been that "fragile" ? You just caught your knee on the shield or knee in the dash ?
Knee on the shield...i heard a CRAAAAACK while airborne, and i thought immediately..shield...shit...b4 even landing. What a surprise it was... Plastic frame (dunno how u call that one) was broken in 4 places... I will never go to that places again... ::013::
Oredered new part for cca 65$.

Did the GIVI's move at all?

Really like the White.
well...this is my second drop in otal of 3000 k... first time i was doing 10 miles, and nothing happened. This one instead, caused GIVI to move toward my right knee a couple of cents. There is a nise scratch on it, so i asume that i hit a rock underneath that mud. Nothing serious thou... app 50 kmh and all that weight...it's a pretty good protection. Note... i can still open the batt side cover.

Hmmm! As good of an excuse as any to pick up the Alt Rider bars...or Touratech? :D
Well, if i had more options around here, i would probably consider something else. If i have to buy online and ship 10kg of crash bar's, shipping cost, custom fee's...than ot makes no sense. hanks for the tip thou...

if the bars don't move a bit, something else might bend or break. I'd rather it was the crash bars. I would imagine and hope that all crash bars will give when hit hard enough. nothing wrong with the givi product.

This makes sense to me. I still like the Givi bars. Reasonably priced and good protection, IMHO.

I got some from this guy about a week ago. Shipping was fast and he said he had 10 sets on hand for the S10. $153 to my door.

Ordered mine from amotostuff on Sunday. Tracking says they are somewhere between NV and VA. It appears supplies are better now.
