Toompine,

Do you have any pics of the mount location for your horns with the Givi bars. I have one of my Wolo horns (Wolo and Fiamm are almost identical) mounted on my bike and would like to mount both horns and I would like to see what you did.

Thanks,
Randy
Here you go. My Givi bars and horn mounting

Nice job. Also, I was looking for a photo of the tube on the Givi, so thx.

btw, if you don’t want those yellow hieroglyphics on the tube, they come off the sides and cap easily with a little solvent. I used MEK.

The Agri Tubes mount almost the same on the Givis. Sorry no pics as I am a lazy f tonight. When I mounted my tubes, I purchased 2 rubber line 1" clamps to mount the rear portion of the tube and then I used a 1 inch stainless stell u-bolt from the inside of the tube to go around the front crash bar. Looks like yours only better because I took the hideous "operators manual print stuff" off with some brake cleaner! You could use acetone (nail polish remover from the wife) as well.

What is the tube diameter of the Givi bars? 7/8" or 1"?
They're 1 inch, Roy. I mic'd them for some piaa light brackets the other day and it was right on 1 inch.

Thanks Bill that is where I am headed as well. Piaa light brackets on the leading edge bar.

My bars won't be at my house until the 28th of this month due to holiday shipping delay. So I am thinking out loud at the moment.

I’m looking at the PIAA 1 inch bar clamps, but haven’t decided that’s where the lights will go so I haven’t pulled the trigger on them. I have a set of the smaller Jammy Sol Series One Lights on the way and want to try them up under the headlight first. However, there appear to be a number of different ways to mount these brackets on the Givi bars.

Here’s another option I came across for 1 inch mounting brackets. These are by Trail Tech, about the same price as the piaa brackets. These have an interesting rubber anti-vibration grommet.

Hmmm, very nice finish on these and the price is good!

Rats! During the recent "backorder" era for the Givi Bars, somehow I got confused.

Well the back-order period is obviously over. I got one set mounted. I like em!
Got home tonight and found a second set boxed up on the porch.

Hmmmm. Wish I had a buddy with his own Super Tenere. O:)

I think it's down to these or the Touratechs for me. These have got to be the beast bang for the buck though.
They really are a great value. That's what I like about forums. If you take your time and leverage the experience and knowledge of the collective community, you end up narrowing down to the bang-for-buck sweetspot.

For me, so far, the Givi crash bars, Happy-Trail Panniers, and Altrider tail rack, ALL fall into that category.
Waiting to be just as convinced about a bash plate. I'm hoping Jaxon can't make his V2 look as good as his V1. If he does, it will be the first piece I just plain SPLURGE on.

Jaxon already came out with V2. It looks like you could bash through a brick wall with it. Definitely a 'form follows function' design, but it's up to any task. I think if the bike hit a land mine his bash plate would be the only part left in one piece 8)

Yes, I know it is out. But my challenge to him was "if he can make it (V2) LOOK as good as V1....."
I agree V2 is in a class of it's own as far as form follows function. But I"m willing to give up some function to gain a bit of beauty. V1 is just so aesthetically pleasing, in my opinion.

I"m patient. Somebody is gonna cut some sexy slots into their V2 and post it. THEN I will know what I want.

I got faith in all you guys. Been "following" yaw for a long time. :p
