Damn the 2012 OEM plates and everything in between plus washers and nut comes out to $232.00 alone.
Not as budget as I was hoping.

I know I need gasket, nut, washer both set of plates, I haven't had it opened yet to check the clutch plate wear but she is at over 50k.
But honestly I have not felt any slippage or the symptoms of bad plates in that department at all, just noise and pissy short lever action.
I just want to note this bad clutch basket theory was determined by my Mechanic of 10 years just by feel and listening to the noise as he installed the 14 basket for me over a year ago, I trust him as he has been in business over 25 years Road and dirt bike repair.
Now exactly what he was referring to clutch basket? was it the assembly on the hole or the basket is a guess. I am starting to lean in the direction with Dons theory, as I seem to be the first with a 14 basket to bring this up!
But do I need the following if I decide to go all the way?
4.Plate, Seat
36Y-16384-00-00
$10.47
5. Spring, Cushion
36Y-16383-00-00

6.Plate, Friction 2
4XV-16331-00-00
$9.52
7. Plate, Clutch 2
2H7-16325-00-00
$8.78
8.Ring Set
2H7-16385-00-00
$9.31
11. Plate, Friction
5YU-16321-00-00

I am looking at another 50 to 60k+ before I retire the Ten, is the Barnett plates with spring kit going to get me there if I need to replace plates? The price covers my budget for sure.
I am not making the cash I use to so I am going into this myself any help will be gratefully apeceated. Like how to install the barnett plates if I need to and spring tension recommendations ?
I have all the sockets but what other tools will I need besides a punch?
This doesn't seem to be a big job and am not a novice to working on stuff my old 89 Ford Ranger had me under the hood and on the ground many times as well as working on my older dirt bikes years ago!!
But as I stated before I don't want to screw it up and will hate to run into more unseen issues along the way.. ::010::
I love this bike it's most likely going to be my last.
I Just read Jaxon's Barnett install seems straight forward, may just pop the PP on and see how that works before I determine the clutch plate wear after, whats the price of a gasket?
Jaxon's wright up>>
