For you guys that just had their pax seat recovered to match and not reshaped would you mind sharing what you paid?

Paid my deposit yesterday - will make payment a bit less painful when I do the ride-in fitting in July!

Their site lists a 30 dollar difference between the solo and solo w/pillion.

Correct. It's $30 more for just a passenger seat recover to match.

Thanks, Steve.

I've not had monkey butt issues with this bike. I do have a YZ 250 though...

On the stock seat, I get what i can best describe as muscle pain. It's right where my butt muscle attaches to my hip. And, sometimes, my hamstrings feel cramped. Standing and stretching immediately eliminate the pain.

Longest I've sat on the stock seat without a break is 2.5 hours. After about 1.5 hours, I'm in pain.
My stock seat was just to soft and after around 100-150 miles it would just start to burn. I went hours with the BMS (4+) without a break and no issues.

This is where I am a little fuzzy the cost for vinyl of a solo & pax seat is 474.00 which to me includes both seats being refoamed, reshaped and recovered. I say this because if you want both seats done you have to submit pictures of you and your passenger sitting on the bike and 474.00 is the price you pay. The cost for a solo seat is 444.00 which is the 30.00 difference but how much just for a recover to match with no reshaping and no new foam added. I was quoted a fairly high price for just a pax recover to match and am not sure why. I may have to clarify with BMS.

So your pax seat should have been rehaped and foamed along with your solo seat if you submitted pics with your misses on the back....correct?

Yes, I decided to have it all done as I'm not sure my wife would be real happy with the stock seat. It came to $427 total with the additional $20 return shipping.

I would be interested what she thinks of the pax seat if there is a big change. My wife just opted for a recover and said the stock foam was ok as is but she wanted it to match my seat in looks. Pleae post some reviews for both seats if you don't mind.

Great Price Rod. I guess if I lived closer to California I wouldn't get killed in shipping costs. I asked Tammy to express ship it back to me which cost me around $80.00. Pretty much nullifying the discount, but I wanted the seats back before this weekend. So my total was close to the advertised price on the BMS site and was around 460.00. That was the solo w/pillion option (only recovers the pillion, no shaping).
The Dual option is supposed re-shape both seats. You can see from the attached screan shot, the difference in price.

Roman I got hammerd in shipping also 64.00 for two days out and 68.00 for one day back but like you said it was our choice and I needed my seat back asap as well. All said and done i love my seat and it was a good investment in my riding comfort.

Because of all the health issues that my wife went thru last year, she never had the chance to ride the new SuperT and this year she has only sat on it, so I really do not have a good baseline. All I know for sure is how disappointed I was in the stock saddle so wanted to make he section as good as mine.

Since I was not in a real hurry to get the saddle turned around by BMW, I just used normal shipping so my final cost was not all that bad.

I just got my own question answered by BMS the prices are the solo/pillion option is only the rider seat is modded but the pax seat is recovered and the dual option is both seats are modded. Now it makes sense to me and I did get my price straight for a pax recover it will be 30.00 ::015::

Roman are you saying if you opt for the dual option that is when both seats are modded? If you opt for the solo/pillon option only the solo seat is modded and the pax seat is unmodded but recovered?

The Big Brown Truck just left my house...............

and I'm a happy camper!!! The saddle feels and looks great. Only static "review" so far, so looking forward to taking a REAL ride on it soon!!!

(tried twice to add pictures, but seem to be having a problem - I'll try again later)

Try again:

Hey Rod they look awesome I like that pax seat that could also act as a backrest for you don't you think? I may have to rethink my plans and have my pax seat set up like yours. thanks for posting.

+1 That is nice - I just re-covered mine, I'll post some picks - My seat made it in yesterday and I took it for a quick ride around the block. Feels much more comfortable than before.
