As I stated in the first post, my intention is not to compete with Flash Tune. I use their software and hardware, which I supplied my ECU to help develop. They have released a flash option officially on their website. They have also raised the pricing on their flashes from $100 to $200.

As of RIGHT NOW new flashing pricing:

USA: $225
Canada: $250

Both include return shipping via USPS Priority insured.

Any ECU already en route will be honored at the old price.

Yeah ya did! I think a few others cut it even closer. I am expecting 2 inbound that I will of course honor the old price on.

2 more tried to sneak in about an hour AFTER the post with the increase. Sly devils those 2.

Wow! I am one of the lucky ones too since I received mine back today and installed it. I could only ride for 20 miles or so but wow! What a difference. I don`t blame Anthony for jacking the price. It was a steal for $125 and still a bargain for $225. Thanks for hooking me up Anthony. I will post more about my impressions after I get back from a long trip next weekend with the bike.

Boy was I lucky, mine will not be back until tomorrow. Anthony was so very helpful. He is the quality we can all aspire to be!

I had inquired but considering I'm not picking the bike up till the 17th I won't make the before the price hike. No big deal....looking forward to getting the Tenere and adding a few accessories. It will be taken offroad so still need to decide on skid plate and crash bars. Just sitting on it the handle bars have got to go...way too much pull back for me.

I just received mine back from ac an hour ago. I re-installed the ECU and did a warm-up test to make sure the flash took. The fan turned on @ 215 degrees F and shut off @ 205 degrees F (ac does this as a standard mod). Now if it wasn't for the flu, I'd be out on the bike giving her a good flogging ;)

I do know this, from just listening to the engine while warming up, the enhanced S mode is very quick to rev and respond. I can't wait for a proper road test ::013::

Anybody know where this ECU number is from ? I bought the bike in Canada with 4000Kms it's a 2012 and was originally a factory Demo . Just pulled the ECU to send ??? but don't recall this number in the list of flash Able ECU. I'm in a holding pattern

You've got a Canadian -80 ECU. IIRC, Flash Tune and AC have cracked the codes and these are easily flashed now.

Good luck, you'll love your *new* bike.

I don't think AC or Flash tune has cracked this one ( -80 ) only 70, 30, 40 , have been cracked .. :'( or it would have been in the mail already

Got'cha, went back into the thread and see it's the -40 ECUs for you northern folks.

Good luck, hope they're able to crack the -80s soon!

Thanks for the flash ac. The bike just feels a lot more proper now ::26::

Guys/gals I can't recommend doing this enough. While I didn't mind the feeling/performance of the engine before, it was just missing something. Now that has been cured in a big way.

I would have been happy with the bike even without this being done, but I don't regret it one bit. The bike has really shed off its industrial feel, and just feels like a motorcycle. The way it revs now reminds me of my old TDM850 that I had thoroughly modded the engine on ::012::

Some quick updates:

1. -80 12/13 Canada spec ECU is currently under the knife getting hacked.
2. 2014 ES ECU is on its way to get hacked also. Yamaha made some changes to the hardware (as were expected). Hopefully there are no hidden issues.

Other progress: I'm working on a hybrid "S/SS/Light" map. My goal is to have the pull of the SS map in the midrange/topend, with the civility of T Light at small throttle openings. Attempt 1 is loaded up and I'll start testing on the commute tomorrow.

Just got a USPS email that my ecu is scheduled to be shipped back.

Thanks for the speedy turn around Anthony. Looking forward to my new bike...
