    Heidenhau K60 versus Mitas E07

But the wear bars just started showing up about a thousand miles ago! It still had some rubber thickness. I thought it might be thinner, but it wasn't. Tough tires.

    Heidenhau K60 versus Mitas E07

I just managed about 22.5k miles out of my K60's. I was very happy with them and decided to get another set.

    Fuel Trip Meter Pictures

I actually ran out of gas once. I went about 40 miles on reserve. Didn't take a picture though.

Is the Government shutdown effecting your life?

This is a good discussion and it has been very civil from my perspective. Extra cash - This is a good financial principle for many folks to follow. However, life events can sometime drain this. For example some folks have gone through a very nasty and expensive divorce, had a major uncovered...

Is the Government shutdown effecting your life?

I'm not furloughed, yet, but I'm also caught up in the lack of common sense by both the legislative and executive branches of government. However my wife is furloughed. If this keeps up, my issue is cash flow. It appears the Federal employees will be reimbursed. Which begs the question, why...

Inventory of Major Part Failure on the S10?

Ditto, but I don't remember the mileage... I forgot about that catastrophic failure. :D

Granted it isn't sport bike sharp! I totally agree! Compared to my Tiger1050 and Sprint ST and other bikes I've ridden, I was very surprised how flickable this big boy was. It put a big smile on my face. A bike that was harder to steer (IMO) was the Ducati Diavel. That big rear tire really...

    Big Tex Rally

Route planning - What an adventure. This rally has a ton of points to map out and getting the right ones is an interesting exercise. I'm not a Texas native, so I'm hoping I may get some advice on roads to avoid and ones that will work. The rally starts Friday morning and ends Saturday...

What are you, a Biker or a Motorcyclist?

So since I own a Triumph and a Yamaha I'm a hoodlum motorcyclist? Geez, what will my wife think! (actually, she will probably say that fits me...)

Slap me if I am out of line

Snake - I just checked his website. It is NEW! But not quite there yet. Your comment about him giving in, appears to be at hand!

What are you, a Biker or a Motorcyclist?

::026:: When folks call me a "Biker" I correct them and tell them I'm a motorcyclist. "Biker" IMO has a negative connotation that is associated to the 1%ers.

Optimistic - much better word. I guess the furlough issue here in our area is impacting my mood...

Inventory of Major Part Failure on the S10?

Bike Bandit is a good source. Tabasco has hooked up a good deal with Stadium Yamaha. You can get good deals through there too. Every so often they run a special with additional discounts. Another forum member and I pooled our money and purchased 100k worth of consumables (brake pads, oil...

Inventory of Major Part Failure on the S10?

::026:: This impacts me and my family as we live out here and have to deal with this current lack of rationality by both parties.

The way you wear out tires, I find the above statement a little circumspect! ::025::

The S10 is surprisingly nimble in the corners. It will lean right over rather readily. I actually find it easier to ride in the curvy stuff as the wide handlebars and slightly narrower tires allow quicker input responses for change of direction and steering corrections.

Inventory of Major Part Failure on the S10?

Ramseybella did a good job summarizing. There was one individual who had their clutch plates break apart. But considering how hard some of these folks ride these bikes, and the minimal amount of major failures, it appears to be a very solid bike. I just did the 26k service on mine, all in...

    Not that anyone cares but......

I know the sentiments. I almost sunk into depression when my bike was at the dealer for the 26k checkup. I was so happy to see it back that I was it was hard for me to contain my tears of happiness... My wife was so wonderful, when she used her furlough time, to go to get it.

Just Awesome Motorcycle Videos - Post The Next One

RED CAT never been to the Isle of Mann to see the races, but one day I hope I can see it in person. I know some of the footage was from there, but it doesn't surprise me that is a compilation of races. Still like the video and the song though!
