Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've got a fair amount, too. But I have to say, assuming you are largely English, I'd increase that percent. I've seen the goons on your football team. And not clever enough to get past the U.S. on the pitch. We hold up a pint and steal the ball.

Back in the old days at half time some players were known to walk out of the Stadium in their kit and boots. Pop into the boozer, down a quick beer or 2, then go in the bookies and put a bet on themselves to score in the 2nd half !.
I thought the U.S team have played well. Its about time they learned to play a proper game. Cricket next.

I have 2 to 3% Neandertal DNA so you can count me out of the pure blood deal.
Add in a few percentage points of Silverback DNA, and we could be brothers.

According to medical documents, type O blood is the most resistant blood type against covid. China's population is +/-48% type O; 666,000,000 people. The US only has 365,000,000 total population. That is why nobody will ever convince me otherwise that this was not a weaponized virus that intentionally or unintentionally got out of their lab. At this point, it doesn't matter but damn.

One of only two tests I ever made a O on, and I'm proud of this one.

Fun fact: Type "O" stands for "original". As in original human blood type. Thousands of years later, type "A" showed up. Thousands of years after that "B" showed up. And if the article's supposition proves correct, we're due for type "C" to show up.

Maybe covid and global warming will cause the new type to arrive. :D

To be honest i think if it had come out of a Lab it would have been worse. But we are all doing Gain of Function Experiments and it does happen.

Huh! Well, I'm glad I had my Type O to fall back on because there weren't that many As and Bs on my school transcript, lol, or at least not until I got straightened out by 4 years in the Navy. After that, I came back for college at UT Austin and ended up a little above a 3.0 (but funny how a disciplined life can change you if you let it).

Well the Pandemic seems to have passed in Africa with minimum, impact. The reason is they are not overweight in that continent. Bill Mahler has long held that our nation is obese, and that is why Covid hit the US so hard. This English Doctor has found credible data to support the theory.

I find it extremely interesting that their health care is in every way inferior to ours and yet the came out of pandemic faster and in much better shape.

I'm sorry I disagree, and if you want to wade through the data, here is a link to the data. The Washington post, Kaiser foundation came out with the analysis.

https://data.cdc.gov/Public-Health-Surveillance/Rates-of-COVID-19-Cases-or-Deaths-by-Age-Group-and/d6p8-wqjm

No one, not even the main stream media is disputing the fact that the vaccinated are now a higher percentage of deaths than the un-vaccinated.

Furthermore, THE SCIENTIFIC DATA is pointing that the biggest factor is coming down to the age of the person who died.

And yet the rhetoric is still " your being selfish" for not getting vaccinated. Who is being selfish? The retired guy in the age bracket that is the majority of deaths? What about the school age children, buisness owners, working class? What damage has this done?

Conspiracy theory? Nope. People can see this is political. People can follow the money. Trust big Pharma?

Only 11% are getting the latest booster. WHY? Many have had Covid, some multiple times. The probability of dying for those under the age of 50 is so minuscule. Why take the risk of getting a shot that has not been tested long term. And to deny that there are some serious side effects for some is naive.

People are starting to question the "science" behind travel restrictions for unvaccinated, but not for someone holding a vaccinated card.

Truth: vaccinated people get infected. Vaccinated people transmit Covid. Vaccinated people are still dying from Covid.

So, I've been perusing the data. You can make a lot of presentations from the data, but for simplicity I did this one comparing deaths with vaccination status:

Still confused about what you're disagreeing with? Every which way I present the data (there hundreds of permutations) supports the effectiveness of the vaccine. Also, why do you present the reference to the mental health effects of the lock down on adolescents in a discussion about vaccine effectiveness? It isn't germane to the discussion about vaccines.

The "Western Diet" is well documented as a leading cause of obesity. Riva posted a graphic that showed covid vs other diseases in different countries. In the US covid was the #1 cause of death for the specified time period. But when the graphic showed the "World", heart disease was 75% more deadly than covid. So, either our diet isn't as bad as we thought  . . . . or the deaths were categorized differently in the US and the world.

I also remember an article connecting "the Pill" and breast cancer. Specifically, they used Africa as a "control" country. The Pill wasn't used in Africa, and their incidence of breast cancer was almost nonexistent.

I guess my point is yeah, the folks in Africa are healthier than most of the world. You don't have to be a genius to know that. They don't have the access to the foods that the US, and most of the world, does. And yes, covid didn't impact them like the rest of the world. They don't have the travel to/from their country that the rest of the world does either.

Covid vaccination rate in Africa 24%, USA 69%, so there are clearly other factors that had far more influence on its impact than the vaccine. Western governments have bought huge quantities of vaccine that is much less effective against a virus that is now relatively mild. You need boosters every 3-6 months to ward off the mild effects of the latest omicron. We still measure deaths with covid not deaths from covid. How many years are we going to live in fear? Don’t trust medics, scientists or big pharma: they all make living out of our fears!

“ post hoc ergo propter hoc” is a classic fallacy in logic. Two data sets can be associated and a relationship can be clear but without isolating the factors behind the data we cannot assume the relationship is causal.

it may very well be obesity is the root issue. But could it also be tied to the fact our average population age is higher? Under reporting? Sugar consumption? Opportunities for transmission? The list goes on. we need to be careful arguing the specfic from broad chunks of data
