So, I have covid again. Exactly the same time of the year as last time, week before Christmas. My wife is adamant the I got it from "that stupid gym". Not saying she's wrong, but I do our grocery shopping on Thursdays. And to me, the timing points to the grocery store since both times the symptoms started Sunday night into Monday morning. And the hygiene of my fellow shoppers sometimes is, let just say, less than optimal.
My neighbor, and I'm sure more than a few on here, see this as proof that the "vaccine" doesn't work. I still think it does, and will continue with my regular "boostings". 'Cuz, I haven't died from covid . . . . of the boosters. And barring some unforeseen issue with this variant, I will likely be recovered by the weekend, just like last year. The unvaccinated people I know have stayed sick for weeks . . . . if they didn't die.
This time around is different and more painful. Last year was Omicron, and it barely was more than a cold. This year is more like the flu, with fever, and heavy body aches. And I would have put it down to being the flu, but the home test kit said otherwise. And my DIL that's a nurse, says that there is a new variant out right now, and "everybody" is catching it. Odd that the media hasn't mentioned that. Haven't seen a covid stat in months.
So, sick for a week? My colds usually last longer than that.
