From experience, I've learned you need to really scrub the wheel rim beads when mounting tires, to remove any residual gunk. I seem to have more issues with the front for some reason.

In a lifetime of riding and many many bikes , this is a first ! Will keep adding air until my new tires are mounted.

Got out for the first ride of 2019 on the west coast of Canada. They have eased up on salting the roads and most of the snow is now gone.
And warmer temps. are forecast for next week.

hey, SJC, amber bulb in left headlight. I am curious as to why, what and how it looks... could you post a picture, Thanks.....
I have installed an amber bulb in one side of a twin beam headlight on every motorcycle I have owned for as long as I can remember.
Conspicuity is the main reason.
Left side on Super T is easier access. ( no real reason for one side or the other )
Fellow riders in our group know it is me coming.
Looks cool too.
I will try to remember to post up a picture.

Interesting ! I’ve never heard of anyone doing that before. A bulb like this ?

Yes H7 bulb.
Be aware that it should be a 55 watt bulb.
The title of that e bay sale states 100 watt.
Halogen types generate a lot of heat and the Yamaha headlight is not designed for a 100 watt bulb.

Cleaned up all the calipers with brake cleaner and an old tooth brush. Then dropped in new front pads. After pushing the front pistons back for the new pads, I needed to get some fluid out. So as the system did not need bleeding and I keep fish, I cut a clean 3" piece of aquarium airline and pipetted a few cc's out of the front reservoir.

Over the past couple of weeks I have installed my Bumot Panniers and top box, the Garmin 590LM GPS, Madstad windshield and adj. bracket, PIAA driving lights, fender extender, filler panel below the instrument panel, fuse panel with a relay, additional flashing led brake light, where rear reflector was. In the next few weeks I will get the crash bars and have a engine skid plate made. All this to replace my 08 dl1000 for a trip to the Artic cir.p

Careful that the fender extender clears your skid plate when the front forks compress.

You should get a headlight protector.

Yep headlight protector is on the list, I’ve heard of the fender extender hitting the skid plate, I’ll be sure to have it designed to avoid that problem, tks. Jeff
