Yep headlight protector is on the list, I’ve heard of the fender extender hitting the skid plate, I’ll be sure to have it designed to avoid that problem, tks. Jeff
It's not just whether it actually clears or not. If the tire picks up anything the extender can flex. When it hangs up, your steering locks RIGHT NOW which really truly gets ALL of your attention.

Instead, consider attaching a narrow flat plate to the skid plate as a muck diverter/catcher.

Very scary scenario

Glad to see Summerhaven still has a Restaurant!
That was always one of my favorite rides when I lived in AZ...........

I once drove my Firehawk up there the back way from Oracle.........................That was a fun day..........(I'd NEVER do that again!)

Better not mess with this bike- the red LED probably means an alarm is armed:

Or maybe it's a $2 light from Ebay:

Cheap deterrent at any rate. Wired straight to the battery with an inline fuse.

My thinking is: if the bike is going to sit for a long while, I'll pull the fuse. Otherwise, it's on 24/7. I'm not sure how much juice it uses, but I'm guessing not much.
You are probably right, but after leaving it on for a day or two, take your volt meter and check for any loss of voltage.

Mine has one installed by prior owner. It blinks when the ignition is off. I'd like to uninstall it to avoid any battery draw, but I'd rather ride than figure out someone elses wiring...

Easy enough to add a switch cleverly hidden but I like it.

BTW, that red light reminded me. I installed the small voltmeter in the power outlet hole and I got the one with the blue light. I find it hard to see and would rather have the red lighted one. Future purchasers might want to consider that.

Hmm, isnt there a "symbol" for that on dashboard?
Maybe it is possible to get this to light up.

(on models with immobilizer this symbol is used, and my guess is that it also is there on models without immobilizer)

After my fender extender got caught on the OEM sump guard I added a piece of checker plate to stop it dropping in there again, it also protects the oil filter a little, it doesn't stop the engine getting dirty though as you can see in the pic!

What? Firehawk up the Oracle Control road? That's a challenging Tenere ride, nuts on a streetbike. I did it once on the dual sport with snow and ice on the top half, slush and mud the balance and 75° and sand at the bottom.

Yes.................There were a small group of people outside of the Fire Station (that you sort-of come up the backside of)
You shoulda seen the looks they all gave me as I drove by.........................like, "Did he just drive THAT all the way up here on THAT road?!?"
Needless to say................I would never do that again.
My Jeep, absolutely.............My Tenere, probably....................That Car, nope!

Replaced the air filter and flushed the coolant. Tomorrow will be changing the oil and removing the wheels to get a fresh set of Mitas E-07's put on. Riding season is almost here!
