Unless he is almost out of adjustment with the shift rod.

In that case, put the shift rod in the middle of its range and adjust the the shift lever up or down on the splines. I would also recommend a light coat of grease or anti-seize on the shifter splines and a drop of loctite on the shift clamp bolt. Grease the shifter pivot drum while you are at it.
Yelp I did just that. I couldn't adjust the rod without it coming out so I moved it 2 splines from original, and made sure the rod had enough threads on the ends for a solid connections. Tested it out and everything seems to be ok.

Put K&N air filters into 2 Teneres, on one changed oil and oil filter. The other one, put a fresh set of tires on her and dropped the oil only this time. Been a busy day here and it only got to 115 today!!!

Today the S10 got some soapy love, well a couple of buckets of shampoo & wax, a chamois down and a squirt of Mr Sheene - looks like new again ::008::

Holy Cow DDT, My new Corbin is like sitting on a plank, it is SO hard. I am hoping it actually softens up, LOL
I know, it's odd. I've had many Corbins in the past, and all were rock hard (which I like). In particular, the one I had on my CBR1100XX was absolutely perfect. I could ride that thing around the planet and never have butt issues. I read an Internet rumor that after 30 years of people complaining that the seats are too hard, they've recently (not sure how recently, or if this is even true) relented, and make softer seats now. I don't know if it's by request, or all seats, or complete bs, or what. But, my Tenere seat is too soft for me.

Now don't get me wrong, it's not a pillow by any means. It's just not quite enough support for my 265 pound ass. It's fine up to about 150 miles, then it starts to bug me.

I brainstormed ideas all last night to figure out a replacement shorty windshield to get rid of my stock one. Thinking about the available shields on the market I thought outside of the box. Not along the lines of custom making one, but with something that is already out there from my highschool track days...

But not pavement track... dirt track...

I ordered the "Large" black version of the Box BMX Number Plate that they produce. should come as a black shell with a blank white insert. They come in multiple colors, and many vinyl printers are capable of making custom inserts as well for very little money. Ordered this off of amazon for under $20 shipped, and with the size dimensions of 8.25 inches tall by 9.5 inches wide, I think this may cover the windshield brackets quite nicely and make for a great summer mini-screen.

I'll keep you guys posted with pics of my fitment results. For $20 bucks the risk is well worth it. With the design in mind, it should fit well and quickly to the stock brackets after shield removal, and with the aggressive lines of the number plate, it should contour the front of the bike nicely. ALSO...if this comes in and its a touch too large, they also produce a smaller version that really isn't much smaller, maybe a half inch to an inch smaller all around. Just another thought if things are too large when i fit it up.

Haters gonna' hate of course, but if this works it could easily be a low budget solution to screen removal and cleaning up the front on those Hot days or brisk evening cruises where you want more air flow...

Fitted BRIDGESTONE BATTLAX ADVENTURE A40's. I will run them in when it's stopped raining, no point in risking wet road v shiny new tire syndrome.
