I have the same shield. No buffeting, but also no protection. :D

I'm using an MRA xcreen now. It's the best I've tried so far, no buffeting but still noisy. I just bought a clamp on wing for $40 9n ebay and put on my tall Puig screen...haven't tried it yet. Still a work in progress...

Installed the alt rider crash ...I mean protection bars. A little tough by myself, but they are on and look great! Then went on a ride, stopped for lunch and got caught in the rain. I think they are waterproof ... Right? ;D

I tried removing them a while back, made no difference.

I installed a Two Bros. slip on last night, and the ezhaust flow from the turn-down outlet is exactly bisected by the lower cross brace on the Zega rack. I wouldn't really care, but it's less than an inch away, so it just looks cob-jobish. I removed the turn-down and it looks better. Also, it's really loud. I don't really mind that much, but it's not really in keeping with the LD touring thing; I'm not sure I want to listen to it for 16 hour days. I ordered a difffuser insetf for it today that is supposed to knock off 7-8db which is pretty significant' We'll see.
I learned my lesson with a Two Brothers exhaust on my FJR. Awesome loud, rolling thunder sound. Great for short bursts around town, but listening to that exhaust sound while LD touring was a PITA.
For my S10 I opted for the Yoshimura RS4 slip on. I really do not have to wear ear plugs if I do not want to. Great exhaust sound w/o the headache.
I have the Madstad bracket with the light grey 20" windshield. I have no turbulence. I also have the side air deflectors too.

Put the Yamaha World Crosser graphics on my bike and then sat back and admired it. Going for a ride later today. ::013::

So I have had my Tenere for about two months now. I have made a dash panel, a bigger foot for the side stand, a light mount, rear master cylinder guard, a universal joint guard, frame fill panel, extra support bars for the stock Yamaha side cases, exhaust guard. Installed Kenda big block tires, SW-Moto skid plate, Alt Rider crash bars, two fog and two driving lights, fuse box. Really liking the new toy.

Adjusted brake and shift levers down. Had to back off on the brake lever as I needed to adjust the brake light switch and didn't have time. Had to remove the shift lever and take it down 2 splines. It's amazing how much that adjusts the shift lever.

Changing the angle of the shift lever changes the dynamics of the force applied by the lever. You should lengthen the adjusting rod to lower your pedal.

Unless he is almost out of adjustment with the shift rod.

In that case, put the shift rod in the middle of its range and adjust the the shift lever up or down on the splines. I would also recommend a light coat of grease or anti-seize on the shifter splines and a drop of loctite on the shift clamp bolt. Grease the shifter pivot drum while you are at it.

I installed the Denali sound bomb mini horn today! I fabricated a mount out of an L bracket and was able to get the horn higher up and further back than the stock horn, with the trumpet still angled down. I am very happy with the Denali horn. It is considerably louder than stock and has a nice low "honk, honk"! sound to it. It is also fairly heavy and seems much better built and stronger than the other drop in horns I have seen. The stock horn's very weak "meep meep"! tone was embarrassing at best and practically useless, good riddance!
