I bunked off work early today (you gotta love flexi time) and went for a trundle through Northumberland with littledave. Some very muddy back roads and still a little snow left on the Cheviot's but it was good to get out. Did over 100 miles and I was glad of my heated grips for every one of them !

How about that rode report...
Only 100km on it.. tomorrow maybe some light offroad for more testing..
Did fork spring upgrade too (touratech sold me hyperpro) and still searching good settings...

Rear for now is way better than stock... But for details I need more testing and time...

Powerbronze hugger.

I really like the way it completes that empty space there, the void of dirt in the rear shock will be a welcomed bonus. :)

I gave my S10 some soapy love* following my Friday afternoon trundle out with littledave. It's now gleaming, but for how long ?

* soapy love has been legal in Northumberland since 1872

not a real flattering pic, put it on the center stand with that little trolly jack under the engine to hold the front up, pulled the wheels , mounted K60's, then returned home to front on the ground, went over and just TOUCHED the jack, then it fellover on me. Luckly my son was right there to get it off of me, he balanced it long enough to get the rear back on and then he lifted the front while i pulled it back getting it on the center stand.

Looks great 10éréRider ! Are you using the 10 or 40 beam angle ? would you know if the ON/OFF switch is waterproof or at least water resistant ?
I assumed that the switch would be at least water resistant. It looks sealed up to me.

The instructions that came with the light listed the options as 10 and 25 degree optics. I wanted more spread in the beam for the sides so I went with the 25 degree. I found that with the low beam on, the deflector keeps the light from shining into corners when the bike is leaned over. I haven't had a chance to set them up so I can't say if the Denali's accomplish what I'm hoping for. I will go out at night and spend some time aiming them when we are through this cold spell. It's been well below freezing this past week. I will try and get pictures so the differences can be seen.

Bummer! What I did is go to the local wrecking yard and bought a car scissor jack for $5. Unlike my floor jack, (much like yours), it can't lose pressure and drop down. I do pretty much what you described for both wheels at the same time and the scissor jack works great. The wrecking yard has tons of them, so just pick a style you like. Mine has an attached handle and was virtually new condition, like most trunk jacks in wrecked cars. I also have a front wheel stand, (which was worth the $50 from a co-worker), and now use that, except when needing to do fork work.

Lucky thing you and the bike didn't go through the window!

Did the 4k service at 3.2 K... It's been six months and the oil was looking kinda black. And I have a busy spring so this may be the last day I can dick around in the yard.

I was thinking maybe I was a half quart low or something, because she had started shifting kinda loud but I got out pretty much what I put in six months ago ( or as close as I can figure). After owning a gen 1 TDM this surprised me. It does shift better after the oil change.... Guess maybe the oil was kinda beat... Anyway it was my first time delving into the air filter and plugs... Now that I have done it it's easy but what a fluster cluck this morning. Found out about the middle screw in the air filter housing from the internet, but before that I thought I had lost my frigging mind.

Anyway basic service complete. Everything checked out ok but next time I go to check the plugs I am just gonna change them. For the work I will just put new ones in. Much easier than the TDM at least.

One of these works great, in combination with the centerstand. ::008::
