Crashed in middle of off-road instruction class at Carson Tahoe Moto. Too much speed on gravel road turn. Landed on soft sand/gravel. Bike's fine. Right side Rumbux uppers and factory lower crash bars are both scratched up. Pelican Storm case detached at lick mechanism as it was supposed to. Right ankle got tweaked-not serious. Good learning experience.

Pretty cold to start with. Lunch at the 'Super Sausage' near Towcester (a great stop if any of you are biking to the Moto GP at Silverstone next weekend.

Then a 'wobble' around the country lanes of the shires - only about 150 miles, but great fun. Noticed several huge trucks converging on Silverstone already to set up hospitality & VR46 too. Let's hope someone can take the race to Marquez again this time, otherwise it gets tedious................ ::26::

For Hungry Tiger and Shreadahead...going down on pavement should never happen, bad deal for rider and bike. But, going down on dirt, sand, or gravel just says she is used as she was intended...scratches are a badge of honor on an adventure bike and if you never go down you are just not riding to the bikes, or your own potential.

You gotta be careful for sure and try not to get hurt, but drop is fine. I feel like the boxes made my bike much easier to pick up since they make that first really low angle an easy roll and get the bike part way up with little effort...not light for sure, but nothing life changing to have to pick up my white elephant.

Your so right Kmac. Just riding her in her natural habitat, bound to drop it once or twice. Dropped my 1150GS too many times to recall. This one was a stupid one that should not have happened. Did a 20 mile mtn bike ride in the morning that kicked my ass (I'm out of shape from too much twisting throttle time). Just came off of the Switzerland Trail and came to a stop from standing and when I put my left leg down just slid on some marble like sand and my tired legs couldn't hold it. Almost did but gave up as the S10 gently went over. Barely a mark on the engine guards. Getting her back up also was a chore as the legs were not up for the 600LB squat. But got her back up and actually was easier than the old GS to pick up. Lower center of gravity sure felt evident.

Hey Bushyar, where did you get them? Are they sold in the US now?

Yes they are selling them in the US. I bought mine from; www.durelleracing.com. They are located in Elizabeth. They just sell them. They don't mount them.. Since I live fairly close to Elizabeth I just stopped by and picked them up. He also ships!

The guy who sold them to me said that Apex Motorsports in Colorado Springs sells them as well if you need them mounted at time of purchase...

Looking good. I got the regular version instead of the dakar. I'll be mounting mine this weekend along with changing the rear brake pads as well.
