Added an additional backrest to my Trekker topbox and my Tenere achieved new status: 98% Mamma approved :exclaim: I am sh$%#ing in tall cotton (I have it made for those poor souls who do not speak Appalachian). Rework or replace the seat and it will be 100% from spkldoe's perspective. ::012::

More pics here...http://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t94/spklbuk/FJR_rack/ ::022::

Looks a little Jethro, but she loves it. Masonite back plate will be less noticeable when I black it out and the smooth side provided an excellent surface for its half of the velco strips.

Geez, I almost forgot.. I did the seat mod today( making it level). I really like the way it feels. Much better than before.
Also put on an Airvent cushion from my old Wing. I think I could do 600 miles easy this way. ::013:: ::001::

I finished up almost everything with Givi engine guards install and some highway pegs mounted on them. I did some ram mounts too. Only thing left to do is symtec heated grips later when needed due to cooler weather. I guess these aluminum bars will have me using some heat shrink on the left handle under the symtec heat element too.

I'll have to get some pics and put on photobucket. But I used some parts I've had for a while. I used a 1" three piece clamp that needed a bit of extra bending and a black powder coated peg (mount black too) all from cruiser country: Rivco but looks good in black. I may drill a small hole for a machine screw to make sure it doesn't move or rotate.

Here is link you can scroll down. I'l probably go with the 1.25" clamp though. http://www.rivcoproducts.com/products/home.php?cat=221

Installed my Givi luggage racks last night. Very simple installation. I'm happy.

Next is to install a powerlet 12v plug on the opposite side of the OEM 12 volt outlet.

Didn't do anything TO the Super Tenere today, but I ordered OEM Side Cases, Top Case, Inner bags for all, Tank Bag, Side Wind Deflectors, Skid Plate and Heated Grips. Should have everything 'cept the Skid Plate and Heated Grips by next Wednesday. The dealer gave me 10% off for the size of the order, so it wasn't so bad, but ouch, my crecdit card still hurts!

How much and how did it go?
I managed 3/4" on each side without to much work. my goal was to move the clutch and brake perches inboard to gain slack in the hydraulic hoses to raise and pull back the bars. The bar end weights have a 1/2" long section the diameter of the bars, I cut this off and then ground the ends of the bars back to the thread insert.

Rod and others, the pics of my highway pegs are in the whole file on photobucket with the rest of the ones I took a few days ago. So here is the link for you to go through:
