I recently got the ECU tuned by AC. I opted for the S mode "enhanced" Gen 2 and T Mode "Light" combination, with the engine braking in T mode reduced further to match the S mode. I mainly had this done because I was really getting frustrated with the huge engine braking, the slow throttle response, and the abrupt off/on throttle transition, especially in S mode. The bike is stock with a PCV and O2 optimizers, with the base Dynojet map. This past weekend I had the chance to take the bike on a day long ride in the local mountain roads to test it out.
The roads I was on were a good mix of everything between fast sweepers to bumpy goat trails, with lots of elevation changes. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The engine breaking and throttle response on both S and T modes it's just perfect. I really enjoyed using the T mode on the bumpy single lane roads, especially going downhill. The reduce engine braking and gentle throttle on/off transition really makes the bike easy to ride smooth. The S mode has made the motor really lively and responsive as it should be for a 1200. It feels really smooth up to about 4k and then it comes alive progressively quick, and easy to control. It makes passing cars uphill a lot easier. The bike now is a real pleasure to ride smooth and fast. I was getting really frustrated with the lack of performance, but this work has really transformed the bike, and my feelings about it.
I just wanted thank AC again for the time and effort he has invested fine tuning these maps and helping us out. The cost for this mod was worth just for the reduced engine braking alone, and in retrospect I should have considered it before any other mods.

P.S. - As a side note: the base Dynojet map didn't seem to work smoothly anymore after the ECU tune. So, I zeroed it out and just left the O2 optimizers to run the close loop area. The bike runs great this way, and I was able to get 39.5 mpg after running at a quick pace all day.
