Do you know what it is in US dollars and shipping? I haven't wrecked my Altrider
yet. Nice to know what the next one will be.
299 euro (approx $388 US)
$80 shipping.
Cedric's open to discounting with group purchases. Any interest? I plan to pick one of these up when available (they're still in production at this point).

I will have a meeting with UPS next week to ask them special conditions for shipping in USA.
In Europe the prices i have are very good but for USA it's more expensive because of the customs etc..
I prefere to not communicate the shipping cost at the moment before i'm sure of it but in any cases it won't be over 80 USD .
If it's more expensive i'll take the difference on my margine.
I hope i can reach 60 USD , i have to push UPS.
The weight is only of 5 kg but the boxe is quite big.
I'll keep you posted.

Hi Tabasco

I’ve got no doubt about the rigidity of your sump guard, seems to be made bomb proof.
My concern would be the engine cooling, the plate covers it a lot.
Another thing is the look. I love the S10 engine line and IMHO your skid plate covers it too much, its so big that it seems to be a very heavy bike.
I think your design have a security priority, is a good option but I prefer a better balance between the look and the functionality. I asked this to ACD and I think it offers enough security but also a nice look.
But is only my opinion

Hi JaimeV,

I would like to start off by saying your bike looks fantastic as always !! Super cool !

The heat is a good point and topic. We originally has some thoughts on this as well in the beginning. Being that we have installed all the units availiable here in the US, we have had the opportunity to test all the heat parameters with all the manufactures and then compare them to ours. With this being said, we tested and took notes on, side case temp, water temp (in several locations), water jacket temp, header temp, Etc, Etc... We ran all the numbers with all the other skid plates compared to ours.... The numbers where the same! The protection that it offers has no bearing on the heat of the engine. Being that this is a water cooled motor, most of the critical heat exchange is done with the radiator. There is no skid plate / protection device on the market (that I know of) that impedes the flow of air to the radiator. With the home work we have done and the testing among other products on the market there is NO heat difference with any of them in relation to different manufactures.

You say that our guard covers too much of the engine..... Your 100% correct, this is so we can offer maximum protection to our customers. We wanted to offer maximum durability and the most protection for any event someone might encounter. IE, the most coverage. We have seen a lot of Teneres here in the shop, with many skid plates, with lots of damage. We wanted to solve weak areas that we kept seeing in bent up, messed up skid plates "protection".

Again your correct, Ours is big and covers the most of any protection out there. We wanted to take the stand on strength and load dynamics. We are probably weak on the cosmetic front. The one on your bike definitely flows more and has a better cosmetic flair to it for sure. This conversation will probably encourage me to go back to the drawing board and develop another with the same strength and a better cosmetic flair ! ::008::

Keep posting those great pictures on the forums... ::26::

I just wanted to say that I love my Tenerator (Jaxon-made super duper heavy duty custom engine guard). It survived the accident with just a couple of small nicks. I have already removed it, cleaned it, steel wooled it and painted it. I will be putting it on my new bike as soon as it arrives.

And I love the look of it. You can dress it up if you want to, but I like mine just the way it is. Thanks, Jaxon. R ::008:: ::008::

Attached is a pic of Mr. T and the Tenerator ... in better days.

I had given up on getting one of those state side and just bought an Altrider. I sure wish I had waited. That is a really sweet piece!!

This makes me really curious about Altrider and Touratech's margins. If we can get this shipped to our door for 480 USD!! More parts, more material, more workmanship, better product, for less than most of the competition. Great looking part.

Just installed it yesterday. The build quality is really nice. It fit around the engine nice and tight.

I had to do a little trimming to fit it over my Arrow header which added time to the install. The Arrow header sticks out from the engine a little more then the OEM. The ACD skid plate was designed around the OEM header. Installing it on a bike with the OEM would be very easy

I also trimmed and shaped my H&B water pump guard so that it now works with the lines of the ACD skid plate. I think that came out super cool.

That looks really good and better coverage than my altrider. Sharp looking bike Longboard.
The aftermarket keeps growing and upping the game. Good for all of us. ::012::

Nice looking bike. ::008:: ::008::

I didn't know the Arrow header sticks out, that's anoying... but you did a good work to fit it. ::012::
Perhaps you can add some protection to the pipe, it looks a bit vulnerable there...
ACD got these:
