You might notice I did not quote your last post.it was a general reply to all. I was referring to some posts that were bashing our leaders
I did get that thanks. Just trying to be informative. And its good to see opinions from other countries media. As long as its trustworthy. We all as human beings need to change the way things are done in our name. Capture+_2020-03-31-13-09-15~2.pngCapture+_2020-03-31-13-09-15~2.png

Maryland, DC, and Virginia are now under stay at home orders. It's up to a $5,000 fine for violations beyond groceries, drug stores, neighborhood exercise, and a list of other things permissible. Never imagined we would go through this in the US of A but we are here and it is the only way to get people from continuing to transmit what they have till it expires in those who have it.

Meanwhile:

Chris, sir, if you read carefully my snip from the FDA and CDC cannot be seen as political in any way. It is the published advice from your highest health authorities. That is not politics, it is health.

You say that you are not stockpiling (I think you said you had 8 masks?). Well if every other American had 'just' 8 masks there would be a couple of billion masks kept for grocery shopping and not available for the health care workers. That's not political.

Now, there is a huge difference between a health worker and a stockpiler looking for eggs on a shelf. The health worker is at the front line face to face with potentially infected and actually infected people coughing on them. Lots of them. If you are maintaining correct social distancing wandering around looking for TP you are not at the front line. Are you? That's not political.

I'll admit that I have had jabs at your leader who has been very prominent in playing down the risks, adding to the problem by delaying and slowing the US response.

Irrespective of any US citizen's political leanings you all have to work together, prioritize effective measures and listen to your health authorities.
Looks like the CDC is having second thoughts:

Given Chris' situation, i can't find fault with him wearing a mask to protect his wife who is at high risk. Looks like the CDC agrees.

Everyone, stay safe!

They're New Yorkers. . . . they're gonna do, what they're gonna do. . . . they'll tell you "because I'm a New Yorker". No judging, just sayin'.

I just checked my temperature and was relieved!!

[Got complaints that this poo picture was a bit over the line so am just taking down the full color photo. For those who really gotta see a photo of shit on a thermometer, click on the minimized attachment. Trying to find a balance between humor and that one step too far. - CW]
You know the old joke- what is the difference between an oral thermometer and an anal thermometer? Taste.

Thank you for that. To be clear, the masks I have are leftovers from a home painting job a few years back. I’m at the point of tears worrying about my wife and mother in law. The store clerks that know me said they are relieved to see anyone with a mask and gloves. I do one shopping run per week.

Un damn believable! Here in CA, part of the essential workforce includes : "Workers supporting cannabis retail and dietary supplement retail". Bars are closed but pot shops and liquor stores are open.

Stay At Home Order FAQ's. This one is so stupid on a lot of levels:

May I still go out to get my prescriptions?
Yes. You may leave their homes to obtain prescriptions or get cannabis from a licensed cannabis retailer.

Why in the heck would the state allow a controlled substance along with prescriptions.

And then this one tops the cake:

Governor Gavin Newsom today issued an executive order directing the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Secretary to temporarily halt the intake and/or transfer of inmates and youth into the state’s 35 prisons and four youth correctional facilities.

More early releases. Great....

Can my state please trade with the Texas Governor:

Gov. Greg Abbot has made it harder for thousands of inmates to get out of local lockups. In an executive order Sunday, Abbott barred inmates accused or previously convicted of violent crimes from being released from jails without paying bail.

So, am I reading/understanding this correctly? "Halt the intake". No arrests? Maybe that explains the migration of Californians to Texas. :)

My family doctor of 35 yrs told me he shutdown and was gonna do facetime appointments. He still takes care of 2 prisons. Never thought I'd see the day. He's a damn good man. His staff of 4 said they were with him.

When visiting a hospital, or getting a price quote on a surgical procedure. . . .ask the "no insurance" price. I was amazed. About 1/3 of the price when they know insurance is involved.

Well I'm getting no more care from my local va hospital. The offices around my city are closed. When I asked what if need care i was told go to the emergency room(lol). The beaches and parks are closed on Santa Monica. I'm seeing more homeless people around my neighborhood and even saw one break into restaurant in few seconds just i left the drive thru. At my local Walmart I'm seeing more tweakers. The jails are here CA are being run that way to slow the spread, reduce the man power of running the jails. But crime doesn't stop so they stopped enforcement on some traffic laws and misdemeanors per an officer friend of mine. I found out va employee that they fema pass to go to work and another rider I talked to he owns his own business did the same last week.

Divorces reported sky rocketed in China when people could finally leave their homes and I'm sure it'll happen here.

IF I had to live with my ex under this stay-at-home order, one of us would probably not leave the house alive. [j/k]
