Brian, Jason, what colors did you guys go with? I'd like to see some pics of the black and charcoal if either of you ordered those.
I ordered charcoal, trying to co-ordinate more with the side panels and other non-shiny black/dark grayish parts of my black bike. To me the black Jesse's looked a little too shiny black for me. It was hard to pick without having the real thing in front of me, so the end result will be as much of a surprise to me as any one else. I was just about to write that I have been stalking the front door all afternoon, because they were supposed to be delivered today, and that I was about to give up since it was after 5:00PM. But, I took one last look at the front porch before I wrote it and there were big boxes there. The UPS dude must have snuck them up there since the last time I checked at 4:30. I just opened the boxes to see the color. The charcoal is a mottled color combination of darkish medium gray and very dark gray. I am pleased with it and glad I picked it over the black. If it ever stops raining and the sun comes out here in MD, I will take a pic in sunlight and post it.

That sounds really cool. Now I lean more towards charcoal! ;)

Jason.....I'll be at the FF and FS & RRR before it. Since the skid plate and crash bars I ordered are backordered, and I want to ride offroad, I think I will tow the G650 X behind the Wing to have road and offroad options. If for some reason the protection items arrive in time, you may see me on the Tenere.
egggselent, brian. look forward to seeing you there. sure wish i could take a little more time off and join y'all for a little RRR, but it's not going to happen.

Well, I started to install my charcoal Safaris on my black bike yesterday. Got the racks all installed and the install was easy and the fit great. They look and feel really solid. I went to install the hardware on the cases to mount them on the rack and NO HARDWARE IN SIGHT. I looked in the cases and in all the original boxes and packing material that I had in my den, 10 feet from the door they were delivered to, and no luck. Seems like the vendor forgot to enclose the case mounting hardware in the box. Email sent to vendor. I had hoped to have pics for you guys today, but it looks like I will have to wait.

Ummm, just in case, my mounting hardware was tucked under the spring thingy in the lids. Took a couple looks to find them myself.

That's what Rick at Explorerrmoto said, but my lid springy-things were packed outside my cases and the hardware was nowhere to be found. He is shipping the hardware by priority mail and it should be here in 3-4 days.

Does anyone have pictures with the charcoal bags mounted, preferably on a blue bike? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on these in the next day or two.

Thanks, my search for "charcoal and Jesse" didn't turn that up. Those look great, I think I'm going to go with the Charcoal.
