I'm looking forward to a review of the Cyclops LED's. I am (or was) shopping for a set of PIAA LP 530's to mount as auxiliary lights (I don't think the OEM headlight is awful, but it could use some help). If these LED's get the job done, I'd gladly go this route, rather than mount additional lights. I'm looking for brightness and distance projected (but not expecting a pencil beam-style projection).
I could certainly be wrong, but I've been told those PIAA 530s -- if it comes to that -- are more flood than spot. They don't sound ideal for what you're after.

Also interested to hear reviews of the Cyclops LEDs...

::008:: The PIAA 530's can be had in fog lamp (5370) or driving lamp (5372)

As are the 530's. But if you can get an equal amount of light from your stock housing, that would be the way I'd prefer to go.

But lets not hi-jack the thread into what aftermarket lights are good/bad. I'm waiting to hear about these Cyclops additions.

I am waiting for that too. Even with aftermarket driving lights, there is no downside to having better main lights. ::008::

What I would like to see is a you tube before and after comparison. You can see pictures on the Web site but I didn't see that big of a difference.

I ordered a set from Cyclops today. I spoke to Daryl (w-Cyclops) today. Very helpful. I will post the results ASAP.

Re: Cyclops LED light covers are in!

The thing I'm impressed with the most is the full spectrum white light. It really lights up reflective signs at greater distances. I think it also helps with being seen in the daytime. I haven't been "flashed" by oncoming drivers thinking I have my high beams on.

Curious if putting the larger covers back on will cause overheating? Seems like you would not want to enclose the heat radiators. What is the amperage draw compared to the OEM halogens?

I've been running with the covers off since Oct of last year and havent had ANY issues. I would have thought that moisture or dust would get under the lens but nothing so far and I ride all year around in the dirt and rain....
