BUMOT Case Carry Handles - $19.99 -

The BUMOT case carry handles are made of heavy duty nylon cord with an embroidered grip. The handles are strong enough to hold a fully loaded pannier and light enough to leave on the case lid. By connecting the handles to the same-side inner or outer luggage loops, you still get the functionality of a case handle while leaving the top of case and luggage strap brackets available for strapping down other gear. Sold separately; order two handles for two panniers.

These look really nice I'm seriously considering selling my Trax boxes and getting these. Any chance of a better shipping rate than $120??

Put in my Christmas order today for my new '14 Super T, but forgot the handles. I'll call tomorrow and get them added to keep from additional shipping charges later. Can't wait to add them to the bike and I'll post picks once they're on.

Two other questions... Is there an add on panel for the exhaust side that will let me use my existing soft luggage? Also, is there an add on "ring" option for Wolfman style attachment? I've seen pictures of both, but neither appeared as options on the web-site.

Thanks for the help.

Hi offcamber - we're also a SW-MOTECH dealer, and I can confidently say you'd be impressed with the difference between the TraX and BUMOT boxes!

Between the annual (and sometimes more frequent) cost increases for shipping from UPS, time involved in packing a full system, full value insurance, signature requirement, etc., we don't have any current or planned discounts on shipping. We're always happy to have riders stop by and pick up their system at our shop in Webster, as it saves money for you and time and cost for us....maybe there's a road-trip destination for you once the snow melts? :)

I can't think of a much better Christmas present. :D The latest order from BUMOT should be arriving this afternoon, and we'll have the carry handles and a few other new accessories in stock and ready to ship later this week. Pictures are always appreciated, and look forward to seeing them when you've got the system mounted.

The soft luggage exhaust panel is only available currently for the R1100/1150GS system (non-exhaust cut), but is something I'm going to be talking with BUMOT about for 2015...should be pretty straightforward to make and mount due to their rack design, and would help keep everything straight on the exhaust cut side. The soft luggage mounting loops you see on some of the pictures of the F800GS system were an optional factory-installed weld-on setup that sort of lost some relevance with Wolfman's new universal mounting strap. The new straps will fit up great on the BUMOT pannier rack hoops, and should work even better once we have an L-plate for the exhaust cut side to provide a flat surface.

Thanks!

That might not be a bad idea....Of course you'd have to help install it once I get there. :))

Should be like Givi, if you go to their place in NC they will install it for you free of charge.

Just a quick bump for some pictures of my install on my new '14 non-ES Super T. I have a bunch more, and will be taking more tomorrow when I can get it out in the sun, so if you'd like to see any other shots, let me know. These are the smaller size side cases (40L/36L) and the top box (25L). I figured I can use the help in not over packing, and can always strap dry bags on top of any, or all of the cases if needed. Also got the toolbox kit. Everything came packed very well, the racks fit great, and the boxes really are quality pieces. The only thing I need to do now is set up some sort of cushion on the top box for the pillion. Those alum pieces are sharp, and even after filing them down, I still think it will need something to allow my wife to lean back against while on the highway without a pressure point. Can't wait to go for a ride tomorrow!

elmo_4_vt, the bike looks AWESOME! Love that matte gray finish with the black bags...very sharp.

Yeah, the height of the 25L top case is great to minimize overall bulk and/or provide a lower surface to strap down a dry bag, but the luggage loops can make things uncomfortable for a pillion if they're accustomed to resting against a case or backrest. One of the accessories I've asked BUMOT for in 2015 is some kind of a backrest setup, so will definitely keep this thread updated once I hear more. I know at least one member on this forum flipped the luggage loops to the inside of the case and put some straps across to act as a lid net....maybe you can flip the passenger-side loops to the inside of the lid? Another option might be a piece of foam with a recess cut for the luggage loops to fit in.....something like a pool noodle or pipe insulation, but this is a Super Tenere, not a KLR (not that there's anything wrong with KLRs). :D

Thanks again for the pics and feedback, and enjoy your new luggage!

Nice, can you fit a helmet in the bigger one?
Hi Joe - a full-face helmet will fit great in the 41L top case. The 25L is the same width and depth, but is about 8" high versus 13.5" for the 41L.

Any other questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

It's possible that we've allegedly spun wrenches once or thrice and a system has magically moved itself from shipping boxes to being mounted on a bike.

Hi guls - I haven't been to GIVI's shop in NC (we're a GIVI dealer also), but we don't have the space for a dedicated service area yet. That said, we've been happy to help some of our friends with installs in our warehouse staging area for a "ride-install-ride" purchase. It's something that needs to be coordinated in advance, and the Supere Tenere system is a pretty quick and painless install.

Thanks!

those bags are super nice...beats the netting some have.
Thanks Joe! I'm really impressed after seeing these things live....well thought out and really well made. As soon as I get a free minute, two of the 40L organizers we just got are making their way into my own set of BUMOTs. :)

After much debate (inside my head mostly) I'm leaning towards the Bumot's. How long does it usually take to order?

The Holan's are nice and I love that they have the grey color but I'm not a fan of how the mount rack wraps around the rear fender.
