Cases are top notch but you need to protect the paint with 3m plastic or similar I had rub thru marks on mine from a strap after a 75 mile ride

A couple more pics of Bumot panniers on bike. My new Altrider rear rack also installed, but came in silver instead of black that I ordered. Leaving on trip so will decide if I will switch it out for black later.

How do the BUMOT and Holan panniers compare? Is one set tougher or bigger or better fitting or better finished than the other?

Bumbutter, the bike looks great! I've already had some conversations with BUMOT on the toolbox for ES bikes and think we should be able to get that solved. I'll shoot you a PM or email shortly.

I'm very stoked...I think BUMOT just beat some better known names to market with a ES-compatible pannier system. ::008::

Installed my 36/40L Bumot luggage system. ::012:: Came with the optional toolbox. Fitment was almost perfect, slight rub of toolbox on plastic cover panel. I believe I can remedy this with an extra washer on that side.
Thanks very much Jason for all your help and delivering this quality product as promised.

Bruised, good callout, and probably a worthwhile recommendation for any powdercoated or anodized panniers. From what I've heard, Rok Straps seem to work better in this regard, but some type of protection is another good solution!

Well these are "adventure bikes" so a few wear marks score bonus points at Starbucks. ::024::

That said, does Bumot offer a natural finish like Holan's?

Hey Mark - both pannier systems use 2mm aluminum in their construction (versus the more common 1.5mm) and will probably be pretty comparable for strength. BUMOT has a more substantial overlap where the floor meets the pannier body that provides a nice perimeter "ring" of protection - Holan has this as well, but it's a bit smaller. General fit and finish is comparable, with each respective system having some unique features - BUMOT's toolbox, Holan's mounting system, etc. When spec'd similarly, a BUMOT a system will come out slightly less expensive than a comparable Holan system; however, you can get different options from Holan such as natural aluminum finish, stainless racks, etc.

Net-net - you probably can't go wrong either way! :)

Feel free to give me a call at (585) 310-ADVM or email the shop at sales AT advmotorrad DOT com and I'd be happy to answer any additional questions.

Thanks!

On the natural finish...it's definitely in discussions, and a prototype case or two may have allegedly been built. The downside is you lose the protective finish of the powdercoat which does a nice job keeping aluminum oxidation / "black marks" off the contents of your pannier. I know the factory is looking at it, and I'll definitely keep you posted as I hear more!

Thanks....

Hey Belaflek - that's a great video, and thanks for sharing! It was a great opportunity for BUMOT panniers to go head-to-head with their competitors and we were definitely pleased (although not suprised ;)) by the results. We've always though BUMOT offered one of the best values in ADV luggage systems, and it was great to see that confirmed by Adventure Bike TV against well-known options like Touratech, Jesse, Metal Mule, and others.

We have a few systems left in stock and more on the way from Bulgaria at the end of the month - if you have any questions or would like more info on BUMOT luggage for your S10, please email me at sales AT advmotorrad DOT com or call the shop at (585) 310-ADVM.

Thanks!

Jason,

Will there be two right side rack options, direct frame mount and pillion mount, going forward? Or will they all be pillion mount?

Hi PowersUSA - I believe they are all going to be pillion bracket mounts. The new rack design is compatible with all 2012+ non-ES bikes, as well as the 2014 ES-equipped models, so I believe they are going to standardize on that moving forward.

Thanks!

Just wanted to say I recently did a week-long trip and some of it involved heavy rain.

Some boxes I've tried in the past, well most of them, have leaked during even a modest rain and these did not have a single drop in them. I think the design of the seal is the key and it does an excellent job.

Kudos! Love these bags!

Hi datjackal - no promos running on luggage in the foreseeable future. The BUMOT systems ship in two boxes via UPS Ground and, based on the box size and actual packed weight, incur an oversize/dimensional weight surcharge. If it helps, if there are other small parts you're looking at like headlight guards, pannier inner bags, heel guards, extenda fendas, etc., we can usually sneak stuff like that into the system box so that there's no additional shipping cost on the extra farkles. Our September BUMOT shipment is leaving Bulgaria tomorrow and we've only got a few systems left in that one that aren't spoken for...feel free to contact me with any questions or to reserve one?

Thanks!

Hi guys, just received another shipment from Bulgaria and have a few more Super Tenere systems in stock after all pre-orders were shipped out. I believe the only size combo I don't have currently is 45L in silver (coming in our next order), but I do have 40L in both black and silver, and 45L in black all in stock and ready to ship from our shop in NY. I also have toolboxes for many of the systems, as well as the quick release top case mount and matching top cases. As always, all cases purchased together will be keyed the same (panniers, toolbox, top case). The racks and toolboxes are compatible with the 2014+ ES, as well as all 2012+ non-ES bikes.

Please feel free to call the shop at (585) 310-ADVM with any questions or to get your S10 outfitted with Adventure Bike TV's "Best Value" in aluminum panniers! ::008::

Received my Bumot 45l silver panniers from Jason. Speedy shipping and received in perfect condition. All locks keyed the same. They are beautifully constructed and solid as a rock. A huge improvement over the Yamaha set which now get a well earned retirement.
