These are just some quick snaps if anyone wants something else let me know
First off, thank you for the nice pictures and at a decent resolution.

I would really like to see:
  • Closeups of the mounting hardware (top, bottom, pucks, clips, hooks, whatever)
  • Closeups of the sealing gasket in the lid
  • Closeups of the welds
  • Closeups of the racks with the boxes off, especially the muffler side
Bonus points for a video showing how easy/hard it is to mount/unmount the boxes and how well the friction lid hinges hold.

Thanks in advance.

Hi PowersUSA - I'll work on getting some additional pictures posted shortly, and I'm sure Belaflek and others will be adding more soon! BUMOT's distributor in Spain (DS Bike Protection) did another Super Tenere install today and made a video as seen here:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3foSCZkpHQ

There's also another video on Page 2 of this thread that may have some different shots/angles, as well as some pictures of the racks without the panniers installed.

Thanks!

Not sure if this is what ya wanted. Better shots and a vid over the weekend when I have some reasonable light

OK......I know a trick when I see one. Full of water with the box setting on it's bottom and then turned upside down on it's top. Big dang deal, you never turned it on it's side. What are you trying to pull on us? We also crash with the bike ending up straight up or down or on it's side. ;D

Very impressive and thanks for the videos ::008::

Love to see something happening for the ES model. The rack support attaches to the pillion peg bracket on the left side, what's so difficult about doing the same thing on the right side. We're not talking rocket science here (I love saying that as my father was a nuclear physicist - a rocket scientist). :D

Any idea when Bumot will be offering a solution for the ES?

I'm with you Dmcleane. Ready to order this pannier system for my ES when they have it sorted. Toolbox is also a definite yes.

Hey guys - toolboxes are almost done, and we'll receive them with the next shipment from Bulgaria. The capacity is down slightly to 3L to get everything to fit (only other option was to move the rack farther away from the bike - not really an option), but it will still be a highly useful add-on for your BUMOT system.

For those ES riders....you shouldn't have much longer to wait. ::008:: BUMOT is already working on an ES-specific rack that will move the right side front mounting brace to the OEM luggage support point (similar to the left side). The prototype rack is already built, so I expect once fitment is validated and tested, I should be able to get a more definitive ETA.

Speaking of which...I brought in a 50/50 mix of 40L and 45L systems in our last order, all in matte black. I've got a new order going in to BUMOT this weekend and would like to gauge interest in the gray/silver option? I will probably bring at least a couple in anyway to keep in stock, but if there's equal interest to matte black I would probably increase that number.

We still do have a couple of systems left in stock that can ship out in 24-48 hours. Any other questions, or if you're interested in ordering a system, please feel free to email me at sales AT advmotorrad DOT com or call us at (585) 310-ADVM.

Thanks!

For reference, here's what the gray/silver panniers look like mounted up on a customer's, umm, non-Super Tenere. :)

Here are a few additional close up shots of an exhaust cut pannier (happens to be a 41L from an R1200GS system, but functionally identical to the Super Tenere pannier). You can see the friction hinges in action (holding the pannier lid open at an angle, as well as 180 degrees to max opening), detail of the mounts, etc. This case doesn't happen to have locks installed currently, but lock cylinders are included with all BUMOT panniers, top cases, and toolboxes. Any questions, please let me know.

Wonderful pictures, just what I was asking for. These are now at the top my list. Thank you.

And if they'd hurry up with the Super Tenere toolbox, too! ::025::

Hi guys - completely agree! I'm hoping to see the revised ES-compatible rack in our next shipment, but BUMOT has said they want to make sure it's fully tested before going into production and shipping. Part of the issue is the bike they were prototyping has taken it's rider on a long vacation in Europe...hopefully it will return soon and they can confirm fitment!

Fellow forum member S10EastTN was nice enough to ride up to NY (from Tennessee!) on his brand spankin' new '14 ES and we took a look at the Holan and BUMOT racks on his bike. The new rack should get around the footpeg bracket mount issue with ES spec'd bikes, but I guess I hadn't realized just how far that factory side panel extends outward and rearward. BUMOT has been testing fit and the toolbox will most likely be mounting on the opposite end of rack (closer to the front of the bike), which could prove problematic with ES bikes. I grabbed some pictures of S10EastTN's bike and sent them to BUMOT....we'll know more soon, but just want to update the ES owners that a toolbox may or may not be in the cards.

In the meantime, for any 2014 and earlier non-ES bikes, I have two systems left in stock, both in matte black, and one of each size (40L and 45L). If you have any questions or want to get your bike fitted out with luggage for an upcoming trip, we can ship out within 24 hours of your order.

Any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Sure hope Bumot will offer a toolbox for the Super Tenere, even if it is for non-ES models only. I really like the DSBP Raid toolbox I got from you, Jason, and I'd hate to lose the wonderful utility of that little toolbox. It's worked great for me.

It would seem like Bumot could put the mounting points for their style of toolbox on the side case racks so that it could mount on the non-ES models, but yet just stipulate that the toolbox can't be used with the ES model. After all, the toolbox is an option on other brand bikes and models, right?

Thanks!

Hey Dallara - absolutely. BUMOT's trademark feature is the integrated toolbox, and I know they've already got one prototyped. I'm hoping to see them arrive with our shipment in July and will confirm once I get the official word from the factory. It may very well end up being a situation where the toolbox is only compatible with non-ES bikes....I'm hoping that's not the case, but will confirm either way.

Thanks again!

Hi ThreePutt - most likely not. The 45L cases are 10.2" wide at the outside, and have an inner lip for waterproofness. It's possible a smaller full-face helmet without accessories (bluetooth, visor, etc.) might fit, but even that might be tight. The 41L top case (combined with BUMOT's top case mount for the Super Tenere) is a great solution if you want to lock up your helmet, and will easily hold any standard full-size dual sport helmet.

Any other questions, please let me know.

Thanks!
