Forgive me Father, for I have sinned

Racer, I concur with your decision. Got to drive a friend's FJ-09 for a day. Too much power for that shorter, lighter chassis. It tracks well, but the FJ-09 lacked the comfort & precision feel of the S10. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

2012 w/ 89,000 miles: Dealer did all this - adjusted valves (1 intake was barely closing, 1 exh was barely opening), R&R 2nd Gen CCT, re-sync'd left TB to right side, new air filter & new plugs. Man, does it pull strong now. Changed to 2nd Gen CCT at 52,000 mi, but it wouldn't compress to...

    Super Tenere Under Powered?

There is a well documented inverse relationship between power and reliability, not to mention maintenance costs. STen has more than enough power & torque for my purposes. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Did 22nd oil change, 8th final drive oil change, then drove it to dealer for valve adjust, TB synch & spark plugs. (88,300 mi). Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Front wheel bearings

Entry #19 was a boo boo. Replaced frt bearings at 88,000 mi just because after busting up one of the rears. One of the old frt ones was rotating with some roughness. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I mount/dismount the same way. Engine running in neutral or engine off, just hold the front brake lever in while going thru the motion. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Replaced all 3 rear axle bearings. 86,920 mi. The one that came apart was the small one on brake side. Noticed a knocking sound at low speed that you could feel in the handle bars. BTW that's the side I got T-boned on by an F-150 last Aug. Not sure if that had anything to do with it, but...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Had them for a month, but finally got to removing the old thrashed crash bars, and install same (new) factory lowers with Rumbux add-on uppers. Instructions say it's a 2-man job, but some short bungees over the handle bars to suspend the uppers does the trick ... and don't be in a hurry. Nice...
