Racer, I concur with your decision. Got to drive a friend's FJ-09 for a day. Too much power for that shorter, lighter chassis. It tracks well, but the FJ-09 lacked the comfort & precision feel of the S10.

I guess I just haven't been riding long enough to generate a gripe list k this is only my second bike). I'm just so happy to go riding I don't think about the different ergonomic differences. Twist and smile.....

Just got an 1190S, i plan on giving it a try before i decide to keep, but nothing will ever replace my Tenere, i think.

the FZ09 was a handful. The heavier fairing helps the FJ's front end stay down. To me, the FJ with good suspension is a proper road tool. My TC is turned off all the time.
The tenere feels vague, and heavy compared. I turned out a 1200km day on the FJ, much better comfort than the Tenere.
