Motorcycle Superstore has the Pilot Road 3. I don't plan on doing any off roading on the trip, as the guy I'm going with is on a Kawasaki Concours 14. Any thoughts on the Road 3?

I've got the Shinko 705s on the bike now. I'm happy with them, but they do produce a little vibration. Do the K60s produce vibration as well due to the tread pattern?

I've had these for less than a year. They are in pretty good shape, but my wife just got me some new boots for my birthday (yay!). They are indeed waterproof (tested). Comfy, and good quality. I wear a size 11, and they fit fine, but I would wager that they would fit an 11.5 as well. $150...

This one really annoys me. Has anyone else experienced a buzzing coming from the front at around 3500-4000 RPM? I can hear it when riding and find myself placing my hand in random places trying to find the source. So far, no luck. Any advice is appreciated.

It seems I have fixed the issue. I'm not sure how I fixed it, but I think it was the balancing of the wheel (took 20g). I also checked the spokes and did some pumpkin maintenance as well. Everything is groovy now. Next up on the list, an annoying buzzing at around 4000 rpm in the front section...

I'd be interested in hearing about your Mitas Dakar, as I was going to get those, but couldn't pass up the deal on the 705s.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to take it apart and put it back together to make sure I didn't miss anything. I've got a wheel balancer on the way, so I'll do that as well. I'll also make sure the beads are seated properly and spokes are torqued correctly. I'll update when complete.
