Added my Rox 2 inch risers. It took me about half an hour to install. Because of all I read here in the forums about the hoses I was skittish So I did a lot of adjusting at full lock until I got the desired feel and not put my hoses in any kind of bind. Decided after 40 miles of gravel and dirt Saturday stooping over that much was rough on this old man. I got these from the local BMW dealer they had them in stock. I will be replacing them with the Rox Speed block risers up and backs but at least for a week or 2 I'll run these. I like the rise but wish I could bring them back a little further. I put around 10 mile test ride on them definitely heading in the right direction for comfort.

Didn't do anything to the bike but did order the Scala Cardo G9 single headset today. Cli-maxridinggear.com had it for $228 w/free standard shipping. That was the best price I've seen. The price shown is $289 until you add it to your shopping cart. I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

After a short 400 mile ride yesterday, I decided it was time to give the first bath to the bike.
Seeing as the bugs obscured most of my vision on the windscreen, I'd say it was well needed. ::025::

I rode it to work as I do almost every day, what the cage drivers don't get is that I get to partake in my major pastime twice a day every day, they just have transport. Twisties, Dirt, Twisties and 3 sets of lights on the highway, how good is that

Installed Saddlemen Adventure Trac seat complete with 'wiener trough.' No chance to test it yet. Appears to be well made. One minor negative is there is no allen key holder, so that's in the tank bag now.

Quick question does this seat give you a lower or higher feel as opposed to stock?

I don't feel any difference in height. Other reviewers say it's slighly higher, but I'll bet the difference is very small. It's definitely firmer though.

Keep us posted with a review after you have some miles on the new seat

Installed a Galls Surface Mount LED Light below my rear tail light where the reflector sits above the license plate. Comes on with the tail light + the modulator. Holy crap is it bright!

I was considering that, but because I was riding in the dirt immediately next to the Salton Sea in California I decided a wash would be best to get any salt off. But it is the first non-rain bath in the first 2000 miles on the bike, so it was partially ceremonial for the bike and me! ::008::

Got home late so couldn't get a pic done, but I did find the thread where I got my idea:

http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=4679.15

2nd post down (#16 in the thread) shows my inspiration. Easy to tap into the brake light wires and I also have a brake flashing modulator (www.motorcyclelarry.com). This LED unit from Gall's is brighter than the stock tail light by far and with the brief flashing it looks like a fire truck running Code 3 in your face.

Beware that the unit from Gall's has its own flashing patterns, but stay flashing all the time when powered. You can override it to only be on at a steady burn.

Stock wire colors: Brake light - Yellow / Running light - Blue / Ground - Black

I think I'll have to start a build thread just for this bike :D
Finally gave up waiting for warmer weather (it's been between -32c & -25c for way too long) So I fired the heater up in the shed & got too work:
Took K60's off & installed Tourance tires in anticipation of LONG pavement only ride in early spring
Reinstalled newly painted tank, fender & upper panels
Wrapped lower panels with DiNoc 3D Carbonfibre/vinyl (cheaper than worldcrosser- probably stronger)
Painted rad grilles silver
Installed tool storage-Pelican 1120, behind license plate
Install new rear LED taillites
***Installed NONE dual exhaust**** looks great, sounds better ::001::

Still very much a work in progress-no decals, will modify pannier racks, build new pillon peg brkts, pillon area storage unit
