Those Texas Tenere stickers look great. I wonder if whoever designed them has plans to make them for other states. Hard to mess with Texas, but just sayin ;)

Ordered the Givi Trekker luggage and racks as well as a 665 + GXM 40 puck off craigslist. Expensive day, but I'd rather do it right the first time and cry once. ::001::

As the temperature warmed up a bit over the weekend I fitted my OEM tank pad and Tech-Spec Gripster tank grippers. Then took it out for a ride to see how good the Gripsters are. They work really well and look good too. The tank pad looks great on a black tank!

Just back from Spain, put 5,000+ KM on Mr T this week. I'll Blog it up laters but includes a tough SS2000KM on way down and a windy SS1600KM on the way back ::008::

Installed the Rumbux crash bar/skid plate today. Really nice, hell for stout set up. The skid plate mounts to the bars, so both easy to remove and no worries about damage to the sump or engine mounts. I opted to remove the factory plastic skid plate to allow more access to the filter, but it's not really necessary. Skid plate comes off with six easy to get to bolts.

Beauty shots:

Right side panel comes off w/o removing the upper bar section.

Drained and replaced the Final Drive fluid. Rode a bit around the neighborhood.

Garage door repaired. Nothing difficult though more than expected. Six lag bolts. Two for the hinge and four for the door frame. Good for another 50 years.

This morning I fitted the Yamaha side air deflectors; in sum (I'm new in these parts, so haven't posted about farkles yet):

--OEM heated grips
--CalSci windscreen (huge improvement over stock, which buffeted me around the head something awful)
--PivotPegz footpegs
--OEM side wind deflectors
--AltRider luggage rack (also their Givi monokey mounts, for a back-ordered Givi Trekker case)
--OEM panniers (good deal on them when I bought the bike)
--Givi crash bars
--One-inch bar risers
--TechSpec snakeskin tank protector set
--BagsConnection "City" tankbag
--Touratech sidestand footprint, um, embiggerer

Now trying to decide between AltRider, Hepco-Becker, or other skid plate, and whether I need an aftermarket exhaust slip-on (not too unhappy with the current one, so maybe not, or not right now). Have just passed the 600-mile break-in mark, so I think the above is already plenty!

Yup. That's a heck of a list right there! ::012::

I just got my TechSpec snakeskins in the mail and they're going on later.

Edit:

It's now later.

If that's the case, how about posting an intro over in the "Member Intros" section of the Forum?!

TIA,

Installed my new Parabellum 24 incher today. Nicely made. Too windy to ride but thursday looks great. Will report back. The handguards do hit it at full lock but not much. Anyone done a handguard mod? The handguard brackets could be made smaller and in tighter to the levers without to much work. Either that or trim the Parabellum.

Down loaded the latest auto tune map changes. Fueled up with (if you purchase premium it contains no corn derived alcohol) and made the 16 mile trip to the salt mine.

Since it was nearly 80 degrees in the delta this afternoon, on the way home, I could not help but hit the Mississippi river levee 1 mile from the mill and add an additional 22 miles of ripping it up on the gravel with a great view of the mighty Miss river to the trip. So much for fuel economy.

This bike rocks!
