Just took the bike in for the headlight harness recall.

Took a gamble: Corpus Christi Cycle Plaza said they could do it while I waited. They did!! Great service from them. They even adjusted my rear brake-light switch.

Is that your first visit there?

That's my local dealer, and Joe, Matt, Brian, Bob, Frank, Jessica, and all the rest of the crew there are fantastic folks. Been in business a long, long time, run a tight, attractive operation, throw some great rides and bike nights, and take good care of their customers. They're great people.

You should to their web page - http://www.cccycleplaza.com/ - and sign up for their event updates. Great way to meet some wonderful folks in the area. They also have a Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/CYCLEPLAZA - that has regular updates on their rides, demo events, bike nights, sales, etc. I don't mess with Facebook, but it's a good place to look in and see what's happening at the shop.

Joe (the owner) and I used to be competitors back when I had a Honda dealership, but he was the *good* kind of competitor and we've been good friends a long time. I have bought a bunch of motorcycles from them over the years, and each purchase has been a joy.

They're one of the *GOOD GUY* dealers! ::008::

Thanks for the info, Dallara. I've "window-shopped" there a bunch of times and bought parts/supplies from time to time. But I've got a used-bike budget, so I have never bought a bike from them. But my recent good experience sure puts them on my short list if I ever so buy a new bike or ATV.

I'd always heard that unless you bought it from them then dealers are not interested in servicing it. BUT, that's not my recent experience. Like I said, they were great!

Bought mine yesterday from Westfield Powersports. They went out of their way to find me a 2013 in matte black, found a offer for me from Yamaha for 1200 dollars in free accessories, found me an extra 500 dollars off for my trade in and gave me 4000 for my KTM. Great dealership to visit if you get the time. Ask for Josh. Love the bike so far and can't wait to put many many miles on it.

Installed the side case hardware, and fitted the side cases and top cases. Then took the bike for a 180 mile shakedown ride. All is well. ::022::

Rode Alberta Hwy 40 Highwood Pass for the first time in two years...
The area suffered serve damage due to flooding one year ago and the road was closed until recent...
There is still one bridge missing and several unpaved sections, far more, very visible, damage than I had imagined...
Still is amazing scenery and saw lots of bighorn sheep. After the gas station, moving north, I got caught behind
numerous travel trailers and a pack of pirates with no safe exit but to lope along and wait until they turned into the casino/pub.....

Ended up replacing the destroyed K60 rear(apparently three plugs and a pending 1200 mile ride do not agree with each other) with something more street biased, Michelin Pilot Road 4 Trail...did a full swap mid trip in Colorado.

They are excellent in wet weather.

just dropped it off at my local dealers for a service and a set of fresh Pilot Road 4 tyres - in advance of my euroean tour next month!

i've got an MT-07 demonstrator to come home on - (think its the FZ-07 in the US?) the 700cc parallel twin street bike - its feels very light but rather toy-like to ride! - fun though, but i don't think i'd buy on.
I bought an FZ09 last week. So fast and fun but the wrong kind of bike. Took it back Saturday. Now I have new ST. Got a good tip for cases to use while learning to dirt ride. Go to Goodwill and get two hard sided suit cases of appropriate size. So I ordered the mounting kit and will hit Goodwill this weekend. My skid pad and crash bars will be in before the weekend so I should be able to get in the dirt and sand soon.

Was it a pair of blue Samsonite suitcases? Remember seeing a picture of those mounted on the S10, on ADVRIDER I think.

Requests of you:
No sand with the OEM tires please.
No TC1 off road please.
Just nipping those two in the bud. ::024::

Regreased the bearings on the front stem of my XT1200Z. Installed a grease zert (grease nipple) so it will easy to regrease. I found out one bearing was going kaput, so I replaced it...... What a weekend.

Shirt happens.... I scratched the dash board, so I had to polish it with metal polish paste and my Dremel. It worked about pretty good, looks just new.

Finally I installed an IPad protective screen on the dash board, so it will be somehow protected.

With my daughter's "help" I installed my new Jesse bags.
Got them in charcoal to match the matte grey bike.
Looks really good!

We absolutely died laughing when one of my labs went bonkers for the bubble wrap! And with 5 boxes from Jesse, there was tons of it!
It took forever to clean up all the shreds of plastic in the garage!
