Finally received a new silencer and fitted it (Barrett - built in Australia), still have to install the heated grips, power point, LED spots, new GPS and PC8 lying in my cupboard ^-^
Also seriously thinking of getting Mitas EO7's as my tyres are nearly ready to be changed....
Will post a few pics once it's all in

with the mounting hardware it was around $30. sure beats the big gap that was there before.

Who makes this?
its the original Yamaha part - as fitted to the 2014 models - it fits the older ones and is mounted by two M6x30mm bolts with washers and nylon nuts.

It costs a massive £8.29 of my british pounds and was the best eight quid i've spent - i'll put some pics up in a minute.

My new Shinko 705s just arrived yesterday. The next week or so will be a concerted effort to finish-off the oem Battle Wings, so I can justify spooning on the new tires. Then, I just might start venturing off the tarmac...

Took my Tenere onto dirt for the first time. I had to go 75 miles from home to actually get to a dirt road and I had to deal with a bit of mud, wet sand, slippery stones and a hill climb while out there, but it fun and handling the bike was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

It feels light, isn't it?

That's awesome. Gives me great hope that I did indeed buy the right bike.

Installed 'wide turning' lenses on my Baja Squadron driving lights. I will have to check them out further on a more clear night (lots of fog this time), but, from what I can see so far, the pattern is no longer a gigantic circle, but more of horizontal spread that lights the sides of the road exceedingly well. People who do a lot of off road riding at night will probably prefer the clear lenses; I spend most of my time on pavement or some form of road, so these lenses suit me better.
