in the service manual it shows the bulb replacement requiring the headlight housing to be removed to gain access to the bulbs Is that the case or can you reach under the dash and get to them ?
I followed the procedure in the Owners Manual which DOES require removing the front bezel and unbolting the headlight housing. In fact, in my picture showing the OEM bulb vs the LED bulb the headlight assembly was just resting there, not bolted in, with the bezel removed.

If you have a bunch of bananas where your fingers should be... then yeah, disassemble it. But, normal-sized digits should be able to work out the old bulb with just taking the front fascia off. Behind it is the headlight assembly, loosen and access bulbs.

Installed some 6000k LED marker lights, purchased at Walmart. Next up, Cyclops LED Headlight Bulbs .

Good find on those markers. I just bought a set (standard) and they've burned out in less than a year. Gonna give these a try next time I hit Wally World. I have a hard time keeping the H7 bulbs for long so maybe need to upgrade there too.

Had my extended brake and clutch lines installed. Added Rox risers.

I do have some 1" risers for a 2014+ and another set of 1" risers for 2012+ if anyone is interest.

Yes, it took me a while to figure it out. The 1" riser worked fine with the stock lines on my bike.

Installed a K&N filter (man, there a lot of screws in the air box cover), new rear brake pads (16000 mi) and general maintenance. ::021::

Have you done any night riding with your new LED headlights ? Are they a lot better ? I'm very disappointed with the stock Tenere headlights. Tried a set of those higher output H7 bulbs and they helped quite a bit but they didn't even last 6,000 miles.

Installed Knight Design foot pegs, adjusted, lubed shift linkage and brake lever. These appear well made, they lowered the foot position about 1 1/4”; gotta put some miles on to see how they work out.

Installed Altrider guards for driveline, rear brake and exhaust today, as well as a Corbin driver seat. Looking at exhaust options. Not sure, all the options on Youtube don't fit this bike from a sound standpoint. Primarily looking to reduce weight and let the bike breath. Just seems like the bike has more in it, but the exhaust is holding it back - any suggestions...

That rear brake guard with protruding bolt heads will tear up your boots or pant legs. Yamaha wisely recessed those bolt heads on the OEM guard.

Installed some Galfer Semi-Metallic Carbon front pads @ 30k miles which made a nice improvement over the OE'. Lubed the shifter pivots with Miltec 1 (my synthetic 1911 guide grease which doesn't attract dirt) and made for easier shifts. Changed the oil/filter with Rotella T6 and Wix oil filter. Changed the rear diff fluid with Mobil 1 75/90 synthetic gear oil and only thought about adjusting the valves, changing the plugs and air filter, maybe at 60k.

Spent an hour struggling with an ACD skid plate,

I've got the right-hand side centre stand collar in after a bit of a struggle, but the left hand side is a boggle - there is no clearance against the exhaust for removing the OEM centre-stand bolt, plus manoeuvring the centre stand seems to require 3 pairs of hands.

I'll have another shot tomorrow, possibly with a borrowed scissor lift.

It goes easier if you swap threaded studs for the engine bolts and hang the front, then bring up the back.

He's stymied by the new pivot collar.
It's far easier to do the collars with the spring off, but without the right tool that spring is a pia. If the old bolt is running into the exhaust all you can do is detach the muffler and loosen the headers so you can get some wiggle room. The new bolt goes in from the outside. I don't remember any fight except with the spring tension and getting the plate pulled back far enough to align with the new bolts for the first time. Plus one on the studs though. I'm not sure how you're meant to easily remove and install that thing without them. It's a two minute job to remove or install the plate now.

A little early for all that, even by Canadian standards.

New set of E07 Dakar tires

Some posts said the tires were noisier than stock. Put about 125 miles on and the difference from stock isn't worth mentioning. Haven't been off road solo, they worked fine two up on 50 miles of fire roads today.
