::025:: He's boo-hooing various bits of the ST, thought he might like the AT better.

Do they sell Hondas in Croatia?
They do, but I was thinking something more "hard core". :D
We'll see, S10 isn't that popular around here so it could take a long time before I get rid of it.

Ah, maybe starts with a K and ends with an M? Should be fun with the roads/scenery you've shown us over the years.

Installed this side stand foot, which was purchased on eBay from a guy in Portugal. Half the price of the Touratech unit and much larger. ::008::

I walked past it. I took my new to me Katoom to the desert and decided it was time to stop being a puss about learning to ride on sand. Unfortunately my buddy's new to him YZ450F had mechanical problems and we only got in about an hour of riding. No one got hurt though and I got more comfortable in deepish sand.

I also contemplated that 34 may be a little old to start riding dirt bikes, but whatever.

Added an Eastern Beaver Three Circuit Solution with a coaxial pigtail for my Gerbing heated liner, adjusted the bars and levers and installed my SW Motech footpegs in the low position.

I added the extended brake lines so I can install new handlebars. I bought the correct flare nut wrench from Lowes. I've read where some folks had bad experiences from the Auto zone wrenches but the Lowes wrenches worked. The clutch side I managed to round off and had to use vise grips to get it off even though I THOUGHT I was being careful. The brake side I was even more careful. It was just as tight and finally I heard a loud pop. The connection broke loose but so did the wrench. Are all the nuts and bolts on this thing over torqued with a impact wrench?

Everythings working like it should but I didn't think it was going to be that hard to get them off. Kinda nervous about taking everything off the handlebars now so I think I'll let everything soak in WD40 overnight.

Fitted a new Bridgestone battleaxe A40 rear. Not too much effort to mount using my Harbor Freight changer and No-Mar bar. Bit of a hassle reinstalling the wheel as the cush drive separated and I could not get the wheel back out initially. Had to pull the rubbers out one at a time so that I could push the driven spline plate back into the wheel. Now I know to pay better attention to this. Other shafties that I've owned have some kind of mechanism to keep this all coming apart. Got 10,860 miles from the OEM Battle Wing and it was just down to the wear bars. Worse though is that my summer tour set it off to wear out squared. Should see a good improvement in handling now.

I took advantage of the warmer than normal December weather to go on a 100-mile ride. Headed west from Canyon out US 60 to Hereford, then south to Dimmitt, back east to Nazareth, then up to Buffalo Lake and home to Canyon. About 2 hours all told, temp started at 64 and was in the mid-50s when I got home (just at dusk). Zipped up all vents on my Scorpion Passport suit, closed the vents on my helmet and turned the heated grips on to 40%. Other than a hellacious west wind, it was a great day for a late afternoon ride. Mileage heading into the wind was low 30s at best. With the wind at my back I was easily seeing 55-58 mpg. Cross wind was holding me to around 38 mpg. No luggage on the bike...just me!

You can get two pieces of duct tape to hold the cush plate to the wheel before pulling the wheel aft. Fredz43 put a couple of photos that you could find if you search.

Thanks, now I know! The wheel came out without a problem. After I mounted the new tire I kinda bounced the wheel and out came all the dampers! I ran into the problem with them falling apart again when I tried to re-mount the wheel.

Just kinda curious, did you bother balancing the wheel after mounting the tire? I have a marc parnes static balancer and I've balanced every tire I've put on (even my TE63's on my KLR LOL) I know many people just put the dot on the valve stem and call it a day without issues.
