Changed the air filter. Mileage is at 24,560.
I hinged back the gas tank and my son held it kinda upright, while I switched the filters.

Here are the pics.

Today I fitted my Rox 1.75" risers (44mm ish for us metric types) to the bike. What a difference to the 30mm ones I had on, it just feels 'right' now, very happy.

No issues with brake, clutch or wiring length but you are at the limit. I've had to order some 5mm shorter bolts as they were pushing on top of the original clamp bolts underneath. sadly they'll not get used in anger for a while...

P.S. Love the airbox mod' above ::008::

Took mine ('13) to the dealers to have the valves checked as I do not have the skills/confidence to do them myself. It has 26K miles on it. I already had the updated factory CCT and they are going to put it in for me at the same time. Not going to be cheap, but I plan to do some more cross country work on it next year and this will get rid of any worries I have on the only real weak point of the engine. They are also going to try and get Yamaha to buy off on replacing the turn signal switch as when pushing the switch in to cancel a left turn, it does not "click". Works, but got to try.

If they do not find the valves out, then I will not worry or check them for a very long time. And this bike looks like it is going to break my history of changing bikes every two years. Or I should say, that new '16 FJR is looking mighty nice and just may be a nice addition sometime next year.

I put on a windscreen deflector on the stock windshield. Purchased from Russia from a Ebay seller. Good price even with shipping cost. Clip on, no drilling.

Works great. I rode without my helmet visor up all the way and felt is was just fine.
That was a bit of a bargain ::008:: I'm pretty pleased with my Wunderlich screen extender.... but I'd say the one you have would be an upgrade 8)

Nice, how did you mount it?
30 x 4 mm flat iron made bracket (with 2 additionnal bars welded in the lower part) fastened on passenger handholds bolts.
Assembled with low profile head allen bolts and threaded holes secured by nuts (no heavy weight in the box so strong enough).

Is it possible to do the same thing on 2014 ES?

Thank you.

That is a 2014 ES. Just make sure you get the specific ES dog bones.

Added lil dry case to put rain vest in there when short tripping w/no need of big luggages.
Looks good!
That's exactly what I wanted to do, but I'm a cheap-skate and I had a 30 cal. ammo box on the shelf so mounted that instead. ::014::
I keep tire repair stuff and tools in mine.

I think that looks great... but I just want to know what a rain vest is? I'm not familiar with a rain vest?

Rain jacket to be more explicit, in other words the top part of a rain suit (rain pants are the bottom part).
Translation may be approximative sometimes... ::007::

I was seriously thinking replacing the suspension with something more performing and maybe even upgrading to 18/21 wheels to improve off road handling. Unfortunately I don't think the investment vs result is going to be to my satisfaction, therefore I did put my beloved Snowflake up for sale.
