After adding Madstad bracket, Pivot Pegz, bar risers, new Neotec helmet, Sena SMH 10...
I put a Rumbux bash plate and crash bars on today as well as the very cool crash bar bags. (Thanks EricV!)
Tomorrow I take the bike in to have the heated grips placed (I wimped out on doing them myself.)

Friday, I leave for some 2 lane riding in Central Oregon.

The blue looks good under the overcast skies of the PNW! ;) Looking good guys. Can't say I miss gray, but I sure miss the roads.

Hey, you stole my bike!
I'll show you what it might look like in a few months.

O:)

My farkling is starting slowly - AltRider luggage rack to mount my Givi trunk, OE heated grips, OE winglets. Just the commuting basics for me right now.

After installing Hepco Becker racks, crash bars and skid plate a while ago, I added 30mm Off-The-Road block risers, a 27" custom-sized Parabellum windscreen, and some $13.50 a piece CREE LEDs on Warn mounts to my 2014 SE. Can wait to test the add ons on Saturday.

Looks great. That is one tall windshield. It appears that you have a Madstad and something mounted on the crossbar. I just purchased a Madstad with crossbar and am contemplating moving my GPS and/or Spot to the crossbar. If you have time, can you post a picture of your set-up? Thanks!

That's just the stock cross bar that comes with the 2014/15

Correct - I used the original adjustable windshield mount and had to shim the GPS mounts with thick rubber to fit around the skinny OEM accessory bar. I made those rubber shims from the transport bolts of my new washing machine but I recently found that ACE Hardware has almost everything you could possibly need to make work-arounds on your bike

Since I was 3 years late to the Super Tenere party most of what I have been adding to my bike has been covered already with multiple posts and photos. But today I installed my Jesse rear compartment something I haven't seen much posted about.

This gives me the perfect place to carry tools, air pump, tire plug kit, straps, spares, snacks, etc. Basically all the essentials I need to have on hand 100% of the time regardless of where I am going or how I am packed with other luggage. It is lockable and keyed the same as my Jesse bags. Easily accessible at all times from the rear of the bike without unpacking bags or removing the seat, side panel or any stowed bags on top. It is meant to be used with a Jesse top case or luggage rack thus slotted and drilled accordingly. For me it is plenty big enough already to serve as a rack so I will use it as is. I added non slip stair tape to it to prevent things from sliding around as much and tape also covers the screw heads. In the future if I need to carry a Rotopax I will attach the Rotopax mount first to a plate and then bolt the plate to the Jesse compartment using existing holes/slots. I waited for a scratch and dent unit to become available so cost was only $210. I think the regular price is $245 and they come in black only. Not bad considering it eliminated a $150 luggage rack purchase for me.

Today I added the altRider luggage rack with Givi Monokey mounts for my trunk. Trunk is at the office so it will get installed on Monday. And I need to sort out the wiring to light it up. Time to search for a wiring diagram...

Added the Yamaha wind deflectors a few days ago and tested them today on a 150 mile ride. The difference is not profound but they do increase the size of the quiet pocket. Based on my height (6'1") and inseam (32") , I will need to get a taller windshield to get a good pocket of quiet air when I am sitting up straight in my normal riding position.

Test rode a Zero FX motorcycle today. Really a lot of fun. Totally silent and gobs of torque. I nearly dumped the bike when I too much throttle in a corner. Broke the back tire loose in a big way but recovered in time not to have to write a big check. Would definitely consider one of these if the price was not so steep. (In the $12K+ range) I can buy a lot of dirt bike for a lot less money. And gas stations are a lot easier to find than places that will let me plug in for 4 hours. ;)

Luggage arrived today.

With some prototype black retro stickers on them from South Dakota. I figure they will be available shortly from Realtime Industries.

More stickers. White "XT1200Z" on exhaust shield and swinging arm. Chrome "XT1200Z" on both sides of front fairing.

Lights and deflectors

This morning I added the Yamaha wind deflectors and changed out the parking lights for LEDs I had laying around. Here's a crappy cell phone shot I took after replacing one of them to show the difference.

Sold the Harley - wasn't riding it much with a Tenere around.
Also first ride with the XXL Parabellum screen. Initial results are promising, but where is the wind? It may be a little too quiet at times

It was a nice night out so I took some time to aim my Denali D2's on a dark street. I took a few pictures to try to show the differences with the camera set to to one setting (aperture 2.8 and shutter speed 2.5 seconds) so it wouldn't compensate and darken or lighten with the different combinations. I use the 25 degree optics for better side visibility. The difference on low beam was more subtle while the high beam was definitely significant. The lights won't peel the paint of cars but they do improve the visibility nicely.
