LOVE the tank protectors. They follow the lines of the radiator/side covers and really clean up the look of the bike. Your bike looks AWESOME btw.

When you have sorted the Tank protectors, PM me with a price.

The bike looks good. Really good. You and Wasp should do a group hug one day and go for a ride. ::008::

I’m glad you like it, I’m loving this project!! ::013::
Let’s see as well your off road modifications guys, this must be the threat for off road lovers! ::017::

My Yamaha dealer wants to make a complete decal kit without all the sponsors and a bit different. He is thinking to enlarge the thank protections to cover completely the space left between the plastic radiator-side covers and the tank bottom but I’m not sure about this, what do you think?
We are going to put it when I’m coming back from Sardinia. I’m not a vendor, jus a passionate and offer my experience, so I’ll give you his contact when the decals are ready.

Have a ride with Wasp must be great, he is the master and my inspiration, we could spend hours talking about modifications, it could be dangerous ;) !. Pity we are so far!! :(

I think the tank protector would look best if it covered ALL of the tank following the line from the black side panels to the seam on the seat in the HIGH position.

This would carry the back line from the side panel to the seat and would reserve the "color" to carry smoothly from the upper fairing to the seat.

Ok, the only problem is if you have the seat i the lower position there is a big gap and it can be scratched. We are going to cover it all, so if someone want less it can be cut.
They are also design a cover to the top of the tank, I hope to have it next week.

No problem covering that area.

My big thing is the top line of the protector lining up neatly with the seat seam.

Ok, in two weeks I’ll be a new set and I’ll show you. I also could test the next days if they are strong enough.

I add the Touratech luggage rack. Now I have a solid big flat surface full of strap holders. It also protect the OEM plastic surface from scratches, for example if I put the Giant Loop saddlebag.
The rack in the passenger area is very easy to take off if you want to put the passenger seat. Very clever!

Those are good-looking racks. Why AltRider doesn't do this is beyond me.

Also many thanks from my side Jaime. Although not presently being a Super Ténéré owner I find your posts very interesting and inspiring to read.

Your English will always be better than my Spanish (or your Swedish) so I think it's a good compromise. And frankly who cares as long as we understand eachother? Thanks for the link to Transiberica by the way.

Strange…. Nobody asked me about the rear blinkers!
Finally I decided to put these, they fit perfectly in the existing holes.

Nice work all the way around, Jaime! Love what you're doing with the bike - especially your solution to the headlight void (even though that's such a minor thing compared to the rest of the mods you've done). Following this thread now...

And don't sweat the English - your writing is just fine - your work on the bike speaks for itself anyway! ::008::
