And this is how it looks after the last lifting: moded rear, black sub frame and aluminium mesh in the air intakes

Shame, in Spain the tank guards are not expensive, I suppose the shipping is a big cost. Is the same with US products to us. But they work really well, this material is incredible, I'm using it now to cover even some engine parts exposed to the boots and it keeps there!!

Hope you can understand with my bad english:
You must dismantle the side pannel and you'll see there are tho pieces, one is the radiator plastic mesh. I cut this mesh and use the rest as a frame to the aluminium mesh. This aluminium mesh was trapped in the middle of the two plastic pieces. I replace some "clips" in the plastic to little screws to press the aluminium mesh and it takes the shape.
I tink if you open the side pannel you can see easyli what I mean.
Not difficult but long to do.

I don't know. Is an alluminium mesh, so I don't know if is strong enough, I think is more esthetic tan a real protection... but I like it better than the OEM plastic one. ;D
What about the mesh on the accu side??

Rumbux crash bars and skid plate! Just got some and installed them in a few minutes. I can confidently say, in a wheelie, I could take down a stray donkey in the middle of the road without much difficulty. Not much more than stock OEM guards, vastly more protection, smart design, cool look, quick worldwide shipping.... Sorry Deon, I'll be singing your praises for a while.

I molded the mesh giving the shape and is fixed only with the white platic pressure.

To do this you must cut the plastic cover nicely (I don’t know how to do it)
Put the mesh and give it some pattern (again I don’t know how)
And then put a cover again to protect all the electric parts….
Much more complicated… and risky!! ::005::
So… I have enough meshes from now ;)

I tought that i saw it open on WC bikes... Or the lower part only.. Not sure...
I love the last pics you posted. That skid plate looks a 1000000$.

I would really appreciate if you can post some DIY from the tail tidy job you did.
Still cannot belive non of the big co's don't have the replacement.

Tnx Jaime.

Hi, I’m glad you like it!!

I had some scratches in the silver paint so I had a good excuse to paint it. I did not only the sub frame but also the carry luggage silver plastic, pillion food pegs, etc. Not difficult and it looks great.

In this post there is a lot of information about the exhaust and some videos about the sound: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=3791.msg73743#msg73743
It sound good but I found it too loud without dbkillers and too similar to the stock one with them so they are trying to modified to be just in the middle.
But the more important to me is that improves a lot how the bike gives the power (see graphics in the post), is less exposed in crashes and didn't annoys in the left leg when driving standing up.
The manufacturer said in September they are going to finish the production one.

Yeah I was “inspired” by the WC and decided to buy this gorgeous carbon fibre side panels… until I knew the price.
In a WC day test I was able to pick the pieces from one of this fibre panels after a crash of one of the bikes (ouch!!) and see is completely different from the one I have. The top part is close and the lower is open but I don’t understand why this side with all the electric parts is open and the left one with the radiator is close, it must be the opposite, isn’t it??

This pics where taken from my Yamaha dealer, he’s got a good camera and he’s in love with the bike (we are having a good time doing the mods, he's a great guy, passionate by he's work!), he wants to convince me to do the mods for other ST owners… impossible, it must be soooo expensive all the time I need!!!

The skid plate is not ready, hope in few weeks they give me the production prototype and prices, they said is going to be only a bit more expensive than the Touratech one.

The tail modification was far more complicated than I expected and difficult with my poor English to explain. Next week I want to do some improvements there and make some pics to show you.

On second thought, the radiator side is also open.

Check it yourself...

Right side...

Left side...

WC kit for the new bike is 1320€ here in Croatia. I know the prices for the each part out of kit and it's a nonsense.
I think it's better deal to take the whole kit for 1300€ than the side panels only.
I you're friend with that dealer of yours, it should be no problem to order it.
