Update -

Tomorrow I will hopefully also be getting some brake line kits made up for the two line, no cross over kits.

Thanks for your patience everyone! ::008::
Did you get lines made up?

No, I spend an inordinate amount of time dealing with the vendor only to discover that their brake line swaging machine was down. And had been down 6 months ago when I had tried to work with them before, and the whole machine had been shipped out for repairs. IOW, they didn't have the ability to help me at all, but kept insisting they could send them to one of their other facilities 400 miles away to be done there. <sigh> I will have to go back to Las Vegas to get the brake lines made up. I've contacted a company there and need to clarify some bends in the fittings, then they will make me up some lines. From the interest people have presented, I will likely only have 6-10 lines made up, depending on the price break point.

I will post pictures a solid price when I have them in hand.

Thanks for the poke, this needs to get done.

Maybe. :-\ Looking at this: http://neu.hepco-becker.de/Montageanleitungen/5014531.pdf I think there may be interference at the front mounts because the HB runs strait forward with the mounting plate and the Rumbux may not leave enough clearance there. Specifically I suspect interference on the right, (throttle), side.

Note that you would likely mount the HB under the Rumbux on the Clutch side and over the Rumbux on the Throttle side.

Note in this picture how the left, (clutch), side mounting tab leaves a nice flat area that the HB could fit under and continue forward. The right, (throttle), side has the tubing on the inside, and may not leave enough clearance for the HB mount to run forward, with it over the top of the Rumbux tab. I suspect it will hit at the forward tab for the upper Rumbux hoop.

At this point all of the bars from the last order have been shipped out to their waiting buyers. Thanks very much for your orders and please post up pics. The prior order individuals should be receiving their bars, save the one AK order that I screwed up and shipped via the wrong method. That's been sorted too.

I now have three orders for the next batch. One more and I can initiate the build and get things rolling. A couple of points here. I was really hoping this would smooth out to a 3 week process, but that's not been the real world experience. Just too many variables in play that I can't control. Rumbux is awesome about jumping in and building bars when they receive my order, frankly before they even get the funds, which I did not expect. But everything from the wire transfers to customs in England can delay the process. Customs in Las Vegas is closed on Thursdays, for example! And last week they moved on Monday to a new building and didn't have phones until Wed. You can't make this shit up!

Anyway, a more realistic time frame is 4-6 weeks from when the order is placed. No one is happy about that, but I want to be up front with everyone about this.

So, pricing as follows:

Full set of three pieces, lower bash frame w/skid plate and upper frame - $ with free shipping (no change)

Lower only crash bars w/skid pate - $ with free shipping

OEM add on bars that replace the upper hoop and add side protection - $

Light brackets - $ if ordered alone, $ if ordered with bars.

Thanks and please ask any questions you may have.

Eric

Has anyone mounted the lower Rumbux with Altrider crashbars yet?

Not that I am aware of, but we should be seeing some pictures of various combos soon, as I've sold several lower only units and they should be getting delivered, or have already been delivered in some cases. At least one rider is going to be busy with work and unable to play with his bike though. Not sure what upper bars he has, but I think it was Givi.

Question about the fitment, or wanting to see how it looks?

Fitment.

I don't remember if it's been posted or not, but what is the ground clearance on these? I am at 9 3/8" - 9 1/2" on my beat-up Altrider skid (measured on flat & level concrete while on the centerstand). This is one area that the ST could stand a bit more of...or is there any such thing as to much ground clearance!?!?

Stevepsd,
I have the ALTrider crashbars and skid plate at this point in time and when the Rumbux skid plate comes in (thanks Eric ::012::) I plan on keeping the ALTrider crashbars and the Rumbux lower unit and will post some pics. Till then - enjoy the ride ::015::

On the Rumbux I measure 9 3/4" under those same conditions. This is the lowest point, which is the bars of the lower frame. I didn't measure to the head of the button head bolts, which might be slightly lower.

From what I can tell with the various upper crash bars, including AltRider, but excepting SWMotechHepco Becker, it should be possible to fit the mis-match combo. It may require some washers/spacers or slight spreading of one of the units to go over the top of the other, but it looks very do-able. The SWMotech Hepco Becker looks like there will be a clearance problem on the front right side between the two bars, but I can't really tell from the pictures I have seen.

So a little bit more than the Altrider plate...any little bit helps.

Got the Rumbux/Altrider combo mounted....not for the faint of heart. Grinder required for fitting.

I will have the skidplate frame powder coated to match the crash bars.

Eric, those zombies are going to find out how a Coastie can shoot!!

See ya there.
