I think if I remember right, 'rumble' was a translation thing. I've been reading 'vibration' into the sentences myself.
When I had a DL1000 I referred to the noise as a "growl". A growl I did not appreciate.

Yes, you need to go back to set the value for the other cyl.

What are you at now and what are you planning on for the next setting?

Growl I could live with. The airbox growls pretty good if you short shift a bit hard. Vibration would be an issue. Mine got a fair bit smoother with the CO tweaked to 6. I'd say almost no vibration. And it sure seems that "T" got punchier afterwards as well. May just be the bike working in too, but it sure seems that the timing was right there.

I have not set the CO settings but I need to. Been waiting for instructions. Don't like screwing things up that I don't understand. How does one fix something they didn't know how to break ;) Ask a lot of questions, bore some people, repair it once while understanding it. ???

That may very well be one of the most intelligent things I've ever seen posted on a web forum... seriously. Kudos to you, Tomato! ::003::

That pictorial a few posts back was perfect. I had the printed page to work off of and had to fiddle a bit to get it to go. Left button, right button, both buttons... very clear and concise.

Thank you very much for the pictured instructions. I need to complete this soon.

Questions:

--- What is the size of the Green/Brown wire you are tapping. I need to get the splice.

--- Just a question: should #10 include: go back to step #6, #7, & 8 to adjust the settings for C:02.

Hopefully I can complete this tomorrow and follow with the throttle body balance (again) using the Harmonizer. My gas mileage has dropped approximately 10 MPG.
I don't know what size the wire I'm tapping. Small but not tiny is about all I can tell you.

Yes. Go back to #6 and restart the process for the other cylinder. In the end you'll do 6, 7, and 8 for each cylinder.

Devin,
It's all your fault man. You made that first post and then I had to do the mods. :)

Oh! That's what you call it.

Now I don't know how to ride my bike. There's no stumble off the line. I'm so used to it that I'm choppy now. ::26:: I might try to the +6 CO setting to see how it is. My Widder power feeds showed up today, so I'll be tinkering again pretty soon.

Perhaps I missed it, but what setting are you at now? I had mine at +6 but then backed it off to +3 and i think it is better now.

Thanks - I may try that if the +3 does not work out.
Now that I've had a couple days to ride around, I'm not digging the current settings. 2000 RPM has a reeeeeeealy bad fuel injection surge and my check engine light comes on when I'm engine braking around town. The check light could be because I left the adjustment hoses in place.

I'm guessing but I think I need to back off the TBS adjustment. Maybe a 1/4 turn "in" would help. My left cylinder needed almost a full turn out to match the right side. So... Maybe.

Above 2500 the bike's a rocket now. There is considerably less engine braking. More time and tweaking is required.

Seems like a lot of adjustment to match the first side. IIRC, I adjusted mine in about an 1/8 turn to match. What size hoses did you use?

A suggestion, Take those hoses off.. Then go ride again with your current settings.. If your engine light is coming on its because of those hoses and that then will effect your RPM range. After taking then off, then riding our bike, then start making new changes... ::013::
